FusNES01: A Higher Consciousness

Well, when I wrote the story I wasn't thinking of the tribes to be too big. they were going to have like 50-75 members each. Maybe even smaller than that. And since it was technically revenge for the other tribe, Drahl should be happy.

And you killed quite a few tribes too. A god of the ocean probably wouldn't take kindly to the slaughter and sacrifice of costal peoples.

Neither Drahl nor any members of his court killed anyone, his followers did.

Vompi's minions killed a group of tribes. You think no blood was involved in that? Well, I guess it would be kind of hard to see. And the spirits were told to clean up afterwards.

And you influenced those people to kill others. A wrathful god probably wouldn't care about whether you directly killed people or not. He'd still hold you acountable.

Fuscia I had 2 other minor Gods in my court. Diplo/orders/stories to come asap.

The Isles of Light

A cluster of islands lie to the east of Tvari. These islands are called the Isles of Light and for good reason. The people of these isles are happy; the days are long, sunny and warm and Darkness can never tread on these isles again. (Please note Darkness is different to darkness my isles still have a day/night cycle like everywhere else)

The land was not always like this though. Long ago beasts of Darkness roamed the land causing terror and death and pain to all creatures on the isles. These beasts were made by the God of these isles called Xoluc. He is a minor god but a spitful one and he relishes in causing all creatures that live on his isles pain. The people tried to fight but they could not slay the monsters that plagued their isles and so they ran until they reached the shore. There the villages fell one by one to the Darkness and the people lost all hope but not all was lost. Soltalos had noticed the plight of these people and he decided that play time was over for the Darkness.

For ten days war broke out on the isles as the Danouri tracked down every beast and killed it. The Darkness was purged from the land and the people became devout followers of Soltalos. The land recovered and the people prospered but never did they forget. Some of the Danouri stayed to lead these people. Thus the Isles of Light were born.

PS I know this story is short and I will try to make it longer at a later date.

@ Fuschia: i have an exam tomorrow and friday, so i dont think ill be able to have my orders in by then, ill try though

That is okay; as I said, a one day extension if you really need it. So, try to get them in on Friday and, if not, send them on Saturday.

I reserved the right to alter and/or remove any minor gods from courts somewhat earlier for fairness and/or story purposes. As such, I not only removed two but limited the portfolios of the two who remained so that they fit more exactly into sub-sets of your own subjects; if you wish to expand further, you will have to do so later in the NES through legitimate means.

On another note, if you need/want a specific NPC god for story and/or order purposes, feel free to create them; depending on how important/long-lasting they are, I may or may not create stats for them, but you can assume that god's of virtually every portfolio subject exist, as well as gods of the various islands, locations, and polities, even those you create.

On yet another note, it is fair to assume that the gods of the locations and polities that you rule over will be part of your court, if any of you ever wish to use them.

So, now we both have our own little island chains. Those beasts weren't mine, were they?

Two Gods Meet

During the liberation of the Isles of Xoluc (aka Isles of Light) a great battle occured. The strange thing is this battle had two combatants Soltalos and Xoluc though Xoluc did summon some of his beasts to aid him later in the Battle and at the end Danouri did begin to arrive. Here an account of the battle written by Soltalos himself after he took a vow to remain true to what happened and anyway he can't lie he is a God of Honour but he can twist words of course.

'I strode fore, my hands glowing with pent up energy, as I prepared to end the Darkness that has inhabited these Isles. Xoluc had been running since I arrived but he can run no more for he cannot leave his domain, his isles. I saw him ahead and loosened a bolt of Light at him. He deflected it but I could see he was struggling. I looked around we were fighting in a small wooded valley with a small stream in the middle. I told myself I must try to preverse this place if I can. I was shaken from my revive as a dart, coated in poisin, was sent at me by Xoluc. I incinirated the dart in mid flight and then threw a blast of energy to pin Xoluc. It was not very strong so he easily stopped and disipated it but whilst he was doing this he did not notice another, far stronger blast, coming at him from a different angle. He was thrown back onto some rocks in the middle of the stream and his pysical form was badly hurt as the rocks pierced his heart. He stood up, of course, but had to exert alot of energy in order to repair his form. Suddenly two of his beasts jumped me; I destroyed them but not before one managed to sting me. I felt the unaturalness of the poisin from the string as soon as it entered me and almost as soon as I killed the beast that stung me I felt weak. Soon I felt great pain but not in my pyhical form. The poisin was attacking my spirit! I knew I had to purge it soon before I became too weak. So I purged it but this tired me and I was caught off gaurd by Xoluc. He slashed me with claws, his form was one of a beast-man. I was flung back but soon I was on my feet and I was loosening more blasts of Light. Xoluc could not stop them all and he fell back. Just as some Danouri arrived I stode to Xoluc and burned away his spirit form. He was no more and I was exhausted. I fell to my knees and my Danouri had to take me back to our realm as I was too weak to teleport. I would never underestimate another god again.'

God, (Uh... I am god since I am in character, so out of character I go!)

I have at least 2 states and a colony. Of course, if any of you try to get on CrimzinIzken I will try to fight you off. But I'm not that bad. I'll, just oh, have disasters co-operate on enemy Colonies. :)

I guess I understand it now, kind of. Reserved for next story.

@ Fuschia In my second story I assumed Gods have two forms a physical one and a spirit one, is this correct? I say this because, as far as I can see, the Gods do not live in the mortal world and therefore their forms in this world should be different to their true forms on the world the Gods come from, live in and carve their realms from. If this is not the case could you please explain?

What are the Cordaiks: Oh, yeah. Those isles. Well, I didn't leave in a huff. (perhaps) But probably freed the people from their despotic chief. They rebelied against the despots and took it. Thanks!

So I have the foot hills of a volcano 'MILES' high. A dozen herding towns. Perhaps a herding city. A Sea-faring city state. Almost a promise of a colony. And alot of stuff..

Good name, noble god of Knowledge. (Name) will be the only thing between ingorance and understanding: (who will worship you? Double worshipers? Other gods?)

Fuschia, are you keeping the idea about there being other realms besides the mortal ones and the god ones? Or did you get rid of that idea in the Pre-NES thread?

Mostly double worshippers. Anyone seeking or gaining knowledge is strengthening Szok, regardless of intentions. So I imagine there's a constant, small input of faith.

Could the archaploigo be expanded to the southeast more, with a larger mountainous island near the southeastern extereme of the map?

Story to come.

More or less, although you must keep in mind that the destruction of a god's physical form will be at least a major setback; to lesser gods, it will often mean complete destruction for all intents and purposes.

Fuschia, are you keeping the idea about there being other realms besides the mortal ones and the god ones? Or did you get rid of that idea in the Pre-NES thread?

Yes. Other realms would include 'empty' spaces between realms, some that spontaneously manifest for reasons unknown, and those left by older gods, ones that have since met their demise. Probably more; most ideas about other realms are probably acceptable, as the 'space' from which they are carved is much more 'malleable' than the real world.

I bet the 'Heavens' are located at least 1 'space' to me three. And possibly Five.

If one: Spirits of Mortals, Gods, workshops. comforts, villas. Courts all together.

If three. In one level. It will have portals to workshops where gods write stories, look upon earth, drink holy wine, friendly fights. Courts. Another one is purely villas and perhaps portals to levels with conditions gods like better. (darker? brighter?) The last is where the 'after life is'.

East of the island of Taalack is a small chain of 7 islands, called by some, the Green Isles. These islands are relatively new to the world. Formed by volcanic eruptions, they are pretty small but grow with every underwater volcano eruption. These islands are where Myrthin's chosen live. These are some of the most devout followers of Myrthin, whose support helped him to defeat a minor god for control of these islands.
"The battle was fierce, but short. Myrthin had appeared to be beaten, but it was only a ruse, and when the minor god came close for a finishing blow, Myrthin impaled his physical form with a large spear of energy."
