Game Tracking Thread

I had to shut down all the games for a reboot.
Doing that (shutdown / reboot) seems to be solving a mystery -- my internet connection exceeded 250 GB this month!!
Seems like pitboss goes crazy and continuously transfers data -- was clocking 1.5 MB/s!

Game restarted.

Note: If you have an unusually hard time getting into the game or slow response that can't be explained by a difference in the connection on your end, it could be a problem on my end. Please PM if that happens.

Time to apply system updates and I'm seeing a constant packet/byte load when it should be idle. Taking all games down for reboot.

edit: reboot complete, game is available

We didn't play our turn yet and wanted to check if it was alright to complete it?

I think it's ok if you complete it before slaze logs in... please don't make a habit of this though!

Is there a pause at X-mas?

I've been thinking this over myself. One option we could do is put the timer to like 999 hours for Dec 23 - Jan 2 or whenever. I'll be away for the bookends of that time but will be back in the middle of it.

Yeah I'm going to be away from any computer that can play the game from the 17th to 27. So maybe an extended timer will be a good idea.

Slaze you should probably log in and play your turn, you got an hour and half left...

For the holiday break, I'd be happy to set the timer to whatever value is desired. If a value is decided and the timer doesn't get changed, please send a PM.

Also if at war do we want the timer bumped accordingly? I'd suggest 24 hours per sub-turn cycle.

So you mean 48 total, and 24 for each team? I would be happy with that, the 40 hour clock is a pain, because the turn starts and ends at different times on different days.

The timer loses time throughout the day for some reason, so a 40 hour clock should keep to about the same time each day, while a 48 hour clock will shift back quite a while. 40 hours was picked for that reason.

I'm all for slowing things down over the holidays, but personally I don't see a big difference with making the clock an extra 20% longer.
