86 days!As a (generally) peaceful/empire builder, I couldn't be happier with the announced new features. Nice job Firaxis! Longest 3 months of my life ahead.
I didn't see that before. It rephrases it differently on the first paragraph of the article right beneath the video.
Hmm, the changes are extensive, but I'll hold off on declaring it nearly a new game, personally. Much of R&F slipped in very smoothly, limiting the additive feel. I would expect similar in this one, limiting the effect of the additions. We'll see in the weeks to come if my reservations are justified.
I hope so. I'm hoping the disasters don't come across as gimmicky in the gameplay. That's interesting, they don't contradict but also don't confirm one another. Hmm, well I guess if they change the from soon that could be a signThat summary paragraph seems to be linking the unique governor to a leader or civ too.
I do think it'll integrate quite well with the existing game, the changes at the moment seem to me to be enhancing the experience and making the map more dynamic, think they're trying to push civ in new directions without shaking things up too much. Really looking forward to interactions with the landscape.
Or Spain and Kongo as in my current game. Very nice quality of life adjustment.Super excited about civs having multiple color schemes: have you ever seen France and Mapuche or England and Gorgo or Tamar and Japan next to each other?
Me, too. I think I'll play one last game with them after my current game. Of course, you can always go back to an older rule set. But I can't imagine I'll want to once this expansion is out.I am sad about British Museums.
Except it's still only eight new civs, while the fan community wants twice that before they're done. But I agree the price tag is justified given the content.I don't mind the price tag since we are getting so much new content. This expansion is essentially 2 expansions worth of content rolled up into 1.
I KNOW! Probably because we have no real info about which to talk.Edit: By the way, WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT RAILROADS BEING BACK????
Pretty certain the new unique units are part of the 18 total new units.does this number of 18 new units include uniqe units to civs or it is 18 new + 8 uniqe = 26 total new units
Interestingly (on the last point) the Civ Site mentions the "18 units" part under the "other content" at the end, possibly indicating that there will be a total of 28ish new units.First of all: Hall of fame!!! Finally!

Hmm tho I don't see them introducing a civ with two new leaders thoith unless they are doing a Polynesian blob civ. A new leader for an existing civ seems more exciting/marketable.
The Eleanor as alt for two civs does actually seem pretty feasible to me. Though I agree the art for her and Kristina look a lot more "Disney princess" than most of their art which is a little suspect. Also something about both the civ list leaks give me the vibe of someone trying to get a Hungarian civ in by pure force of will, but maybe I'm overly skeptical.
Graphic Sets?Does anyone have any idea what “2 new city sets” means? Surely this isn’t a typo to mean “city states”, right?
It does make some sense though. Particularly if there are mechanics tied to the new xpac. Along those lines if you want to release additional leaders as DLC since not everyone will have the xpac in which to be potential buyers of that DLC. So release a new civ with 2 leaders now, and then release the older civ additional leaders as DLC.I'd have a hard time believing a new civ will be given two leaders before a second one goes to an existing civ.
I mentioned on the other thread that it might be new city architecture. Polynesian architecture definitely for the Maori. Hopefully Sudo-Sahelian mudbrick architecture for Mali.Does anyone have any idea what “2 new city sets” means? Surely this isn’t a typo to mean “city states”, right?
Some of them are likely unique district variants for the new civs. That sounds fantastic
I can't imagine 5 new districts
