Despite the powerful cultural position we have now, we obviously aren't going to hit 100K before the Japanese reach 50K. It's hard to know, since this is PtW and I'm not using any utility relevant to the question, but it looks as though if we leave the Japanese unmolested we may have to reach at least 110K to win, costing us 7-10 turns. So it becomes a question of how hard we want to work to shave a few turns off our finish date. If anyone would like to conduct an offensive against the Japanese (and so probably against the English on the way), speak up; but if no such paladin appears
, and we just spend the remaining turns improving our economy and rushing cultural buildings, I won't object.
A compromise might be just to take Sapporo and the island off our own coast (with two cities) from the Japanese, which would hurt them a bit culturally without costing us much trouble.
With an eye to a possible Japanese campaign, we're building galleons in the German ports near the northern Japanese island, and we've got three ships in Ravenna, with two more moving in that direction.
We should certainly go into despotism once more to pop-rush cultural structures.
The armies (including an empty one), the settlers, and the artillery units are in or around Berlin. The cavalry are in or around Forbidden Legend.
Sevastopol and Ganogeh are just peeling workers off because their food boxes are full--don't let them continue with workers.
Salzburg is so unhappy (we whipped a university there
) that it's going to starve down to size one, with nothing to be done about it. The same is true of New Gewauga.
