Doesn't WLTKD increase all the yields, not only growth? I think the interface shown me that once. I know it affects Science and Golden Age doesn't.

You must have had Theocratic Rule, Synagogues and maybe Burghers. Base WLTKD doesn't affect anything but Growth.
 
Oh, then it must've been me looking wrong or the UI messing with me because I'm sure I had no synagogues but mosques, and I never really take Theocratic Rule anyway
 
What about triggering an WLTKD in all cities with a floating garden if the Aztecs win a war, so they trigger both, GA and WLTKD? Would actually help tall aztecs, because you can use wars to reset the luxury need. If the majority is the opinion that the aztecs need more an economic buff than a combat one, I would look in that direction, I like the idea to use more WLTKD. :)

I like the currently proposed changes to Aztecs more. GA boost on Hanging Gardens works better with the civ.

The difference would be only, that the bonus would kick in if the Aztecs would manage to trigger a Golden Age by other means than won wars. Which I have to say, besides one time cases and bulbing GA will get quite rare, because at the moment, if you win a lot of wars early on, your Golden Age counter will rise very high.

On the other hand, if you manage to get your Golden Age and trigger the WLTKD, which is in fact already what you suggested, you will double dip and get quite some high % - modifier. I dont know if that wouldnt be too much if you think about it.

But if you trigger with your floating (hanging) gardens a WLTKD after winning a war, you wont stack that bonus, but you have another possibility to reset the luxury trigger, because it is very likely that you will be hated by the world as the eternal warmonger so it will be tougher to get the WLTKD triggered.

Another aspect is, that it will highly increase the opportunities for picking believes for the Aztecs. At the moment, you can decide between war, growth and golden age boni, but if you have the choice of the WLTKD related beliefs, it would imo increase the Aztecs' flexibilty (beside waging war ... ).
 
I would just like to put out there that Germany is very underrated. They are my favorite Civ to play. The Hanse Is insane late game as with 10 city state trade routes each city you have is making 50% more production. With the Golden age bonus from allies as well I found myself in a never ending golden age that brought me easy diplomatic and military victories.

Why do you think they are underrated? Who says they are weak?
 
I think the general consensus here is that Germany is one of the strongest Civs in VP, along with Spain.
 
I think it'd be closer to truth that nobody really talks about Germany much. Anyway, I believe Germany has a bad UA and an UU that comes too late, but the UB is a real super-power. One could say it's Hanse off one of the best UBs, but like Pilate I wash my Hanse as such horrid puns appear, because even the Pink Panzer movie series with that French inspector wouldn't accept something like that

Honestly its been a long time i am thinking that Germany might be OP. Its only weakness is early game and even its early game is stronger than Austria's early game (getting 1 City-State is not a big deal and it is very significant with his UA). And his UB is ridiculously strong.
