I would like to report that it is atrociously warm in Western Siberia during the summer, and that this is only compounded by the presence of an immense amount of insects especially in swamp areas.

Amusing, then, that I myself will be heading someplace warm and swampy and insect-ridden (without an air conditioner too!): Louisiana, specifically New Orleans and the Slidell-Metairie area. Will be driving down today (when it becomes today; so far it's only been today for nine minutes) and tomorrow, and ought not to expect Internet access during that time. I will probably have intermittent Internet of the dialup variety while I'm there (a condition lasting roughly two weeks with an extremely flexible return date). Probably.
