Girlfriend Issues

People have been known to throw their whole lives away over this game.

Literally. Cant count how many chinese people died over the game, but it keeps the masses obedient :mwaha:

I know one super addict. After he graduated high school, he shut himself in his room and began playing Warcraft. He's now in his mid 20s and as far as I know, still living with his mom playing warcraft all day and night.

Why would you stay with her if it makes you unhappy? And do you want to try to improve things with her?

I would give her an ultimatum. See if things improve. If they don't, move on. Don't get stuck just because of old times' sakes.

Zardnaar, who's computer is it? Perhaps a somesort of unfortunate accident will break the spell. Perhaps her Warcraft CDs could somehow become misplaced or damaged.

Reminds me of that summer when I didnt work, but played CS all days and partied all nights, and smoked large amounts of hashish and ate junk food/ice cream and didnt work out.

Good times. :D

Are you kidding? She'd buy a new one in a day.

Unfortunately it does not require a CD to use, and the game can be downloaded from their website for free. I know this because I tried the free 10-day trial. My god after 3 hours I un-installed it to save myself.

I wish I had a girlfried that would play video games with me.

Actually I wish I had a girlfriend at all for that matter....

You're lucky stop complaning.

WoW is the same kind of addiction as gambling.
She's got a problem definately.
If I was you I'de try to make her understand she has a problem, if this can't be achieved, I would personally never be able to live with someone like that.

I hope she's at least playing the good guys...

FOR THE HORDE!!!

Okay. That said. Been there done that. I played a MMORPG in a addictive way for my own reasons years ago. Probably different than your friend. Though i know how it can be a disaster for your relatives and your own self being (health).

My advice? When you go cook something, don't serve her. Don't even cook for her. Don't do the dishes. Don't go to the super market. Go out without her. Bring friends (females friends) to your home while she's there.

Such games can be addictive. I've been addicted in the past (Asheron's Call) but because i had other problems. Seek that one out. She's probably hiding something deep in hearth. Even if you know her for that long, there's probably something you don't know or don't notice.

If you are not happy, chances are she is not aswell. Time to take a break i say. Its going to be painful for both but it will help resolve lots of things. Whatever the result will be, ie the end or a new take off, it is necessary in my mind. I kind of was in the same position of your friends years ago. I wish I'd have ditched my addictive game. Though I know it wouldn't have been enough because there was other factors, I'd have ended my painful travel in depression sooner.

Peoples who are addictided to their hobby to the point of being careless of their love, their health, their life have a serious problem. So like i said, a serious discussion is in order.

Oh yeah, there was this Tyra episode where this girl broke her husband's WoW discs on stage, like that was really going to stop him from playing.

Does anyone else see the irony in his sig, and in his complaint? ;)

Okay, that aside... Not sure what advice I could offer that hasn't already been said, but let me reiterate the importance of discussing this with her.

well I'm not a really a girlfriend person. But with my friends when they get addicted i pull a prank. Might I suggest one involving super glue. Duct tape work s too. She might hate you for the rest of yours or her life or just for a month, but if she really loved you she'll come back. Oh and remember to tell her it's for her own good...:crazyeye: :goodjob:

fake a burglary and break this disks

pretend you have had some virus on the pc and reformat the hard drive

Hide the monitor

If aint a LCD it's going to be a pain in the ass to hide.

Well. Perhaps introducing her to crack will help get her mind off of WoW.

Not likely, she'll just probably snort some crack of the WoW CD and play high.

I don't know if I want to be with her. I still care for her but I'm not really attarcted to her anymore. In a way I would rather be single or see other people.

That bit right there is way more significant than anything about some game.
