Give me 18, but not on Earth - new PBEM

Sorry for the delay

My laptop is a disaster! The fan was replaced but a minute after it loaded up it crashed which was why I sent it in. I upgraded to 4gb of ram for free but I'll need a windows 7 reinstall, so I'm going with 64bit version but its gonna cost me (grumble) it might not be done this weekend, but fear not I'm taking my PC Rig with me (grumble, I have drag it out of the truck each night, hook it up and unhook it every morning) :(

Guys, I'm now leaving to go travelling on 14th May. I'm not going to have access to Civ, and I don't know how long I'll be gone. I'm happy to play on until then - but I think someone on the replacement list will need to take over. Happily it's early in the game and my civ's in a decent position for whoever takes over.

I also have to drop two of my other PBEM's. I'm sure if you're interested in replacing me in one of those the players would be glad if you got in touch to make the transition easier on them. The details are:
Eurozone c. Liberalism (Renaissance? I forget). Unlikely to be a winning position, but could still play a large role.
Most Dangerous Game c. Classical Age (not the best position, I won't lie, several very unlucky rolls led to the destruction of what was the #1 military in the game during a war of attrition. There are a few positive points to my position though which I won't disclose in public. A challenge, but I'd be optimistic about my chances if I was able to continue).

Sorry about this, but I can't put my life on hold just for C-IV... however tempting it may be :)

Well ... if you don't mind let your civ under the leadership of your deadly ennemy ( from other game ;) ) - I could be your replacement. :)
We are in quite close timezones too ... which may be an additional advantage.

Mitiu we'd love to have you on board as his replacement. From what I've seen you appear to be consistently reliable and pretty good. And you'll be taking over quite an empire... Espirito is the only one to have founded a religion and tops the leaderboard...

If you guys can just let me know what happens, I can have PBEM tracker updated for the switch as well.

Also Espirito - good luck on your travels and enjoy. Yes there is more to life other than Civ... enjoy it and experience the world, this game will be here when you grow old and boring like me :lol:

I also would have no problem being a replacement in either of those games you mentioned. I'm in a few PBEM games at this point, but they are all ancient era, it would be nice to jump into the future a bit for one game to change it up. I also have no problem losing gracefully and/or being a minor player on the world stage.

Mitiu - do you have an account on www.PBEMtracker.com? If not, please go to that site and set up an account. I can have you switched in Espirito's place in the game, but I need you to have an account set up and need your screenname on there.

Also please send me your email address so I can update my master game schedule.

Looks like its on Espirito, so when you get a chance can you forward the email to Mitiu Ioen? He should be loaded into the tracker by the time the turn gets around again. Thanks
