Gnb3 Pbem!!!

Basically this program remembers your building queue from the last savegame- what U have to do is go and put lazyciv2 into the scenario folder, and load your savegame prior to the change in the building list. At anytime in the savegame run lazyciv and and save again.

Then, before starting your current safe (while still in the "name, gender, etc" selection) run lazyciv2.

I hope this will fix it...LazyCiv3 Thread

Lazyciv is a prog that stores production so when the AI changes it, it is reverted to what it was before.

So.. shall we replay our turns or what?

I believe with lazyciv3 u can copy the prior production and paste it into the new savegame- i think it should work without us repeating our moves (?) :D

Ok i'm not well versed with LazyCiv3 (in fact I only found v3 is out when you posted, winter). So if you could kindly explain how to fix production i'll be very well pleased.

It works!!!!! Lazyciv works!!!!!:) :) :)

Game on:

1800/05/R

* Sevastopol captured
* Revolts in Istambul and Antioch
* Cease Fire signed with Austria

Hmm- I don't really know how it works- just tried it out once so far- apparently there is an entry in one of the games files that is copied (i.e. the building list). Every turn the AI will just add shields to this list independent from what is actually produced.

So if you can take the prior list within the safegame and paste into the new savegame the AI cannot randomly select other things to produce for your hardearned accumulated shields.

Y don't you go to the thread (there is a link to Xiu's site where better explanation is given ;))

is it me or is my spelling getting worse and worse?

*The Austrian army has lost control over recently conquered Istanbul. While the troops within the city were without exception members of the Austrian foreign Legion (mainly consisting of Russians, local Rumanians and Bulgarians) the loss is still felt in the high command in distant Vienna. A new campaign has been announced, the orders for new cannons and cavalry regiments already noted.

*Sevastopol has been lost, as expected- apparently the Russians have also retaken Antioch. Two French ships seem to have dissappeared without trace East of Athens. While French statements seemed to indicate that the Russian fleet had been annihilated, Austrian ships are now cautious of Russian naval attacks. Another plausible explanation would be that the vessels had both been stationed at Antioch and their tripulation mutinied after the taking of the city by the Russians (:o? wasn't me).

*In the meantime the first Austrian Ship of the Line since the sinking of the first high seas fleet has arrived at Palermo- good news have been scarce this month...

It was me. Both vessels were heavily damaged; so i sent a Shebeque to destroy them.
Should i inform whenever i sunk a ship?

Not necessarily- it was just that I had another ship within sight of these two, and then they were just gone... wouldn't want anybody (the French for example :D) to assume that my stinking SoL could have gone and pulled the plug ;)

It's nice to say when you destroy things. Helps everyone understand the situation better.

I come back from a nice, er, cultured week on the island of Rhodes and spend a couple of days sleeping at home, only to find it's still not my turn yet. Who'd have thought it? :)

looks like i didn't miss too much of excitement, anyway. I trust everyone is alright and let the wars continue and things.

I've had some problems with my comp, but now everything is okay. I'm going to work now, but i will play when i'm back in 10 hours or so.

Finally i make my move, sorry guys for the long wait.. :(

The suprising loss of Antioch provoked further actions in the far east.

*Baghdad captured by French forces

*Smyrna captured by French forces

Napoleon is furious at the French troops that where bribed by foreign spies. As a result, the French Imperial Treasury will be opened to simmilar actions in response.

Peace with Russia

The provisional government of the Prussian Republic has agreed
to peace with Russia.
"Finally the Russian's have realised the futility of attempting to take Prussian land and have agreed a substantial package of compensation in order to make up for the earlier betrayal."
commented a spokesman for the Republic's First Committee.
It is thought that the fall from power of Friedrich Wilhelm III
removed the last barrier to peace between the two countries.
Full details of the treaties terms have not been made public but they are thought to include:
*Over 1000 gold in reparations to be paid to the Prussian people in order to rebuild the territories of East Prussia which were shattered during the war.
*Russian engineers and scientists are expected to arrive in Berlin within the next month in order to exchange knowledge and technology
*A reversion to pre betrayal territorial agreements
*The new Prussian government to be formed on similarly liberal lines to that of Russia.

Meanwhile, the Prussian revolution continues peacefully enough as no cities lapse into any form of civil disorder. The constitution
continues to be drafted and Conservative and Radical elements
are meeting to agree a compromise candidate to be the first
Consul of the Republic.

Additional actions by rogue loylists outsaide Lisbon resulte in the recapture of Cordoba.

No other news to report.

my comp's going to be in shop for a few days, so unless i get my old thing working i probably won't be able to post in the thread or communicate too much for the moment.

however, on a final note i'd like to propose a ban on the use of the city bribe function of emisaires. i'm getting quite sick of the unrealistic continual city swapping that this tactic has created, partly my fault for using them initially to counterattack against russia. however, i want the game to be more of a recreation of history with the need to mass armies and use them intelligently, rather than simply money-grab and bribe.

thoughts welcome
