* First off, if you try to know yourself, you will accumulate data about yourself, right ? That data will become a part of yourself. However, in order to know yourself, you should know that data also. Creating some other data. That would should know. Etc... so the quest of self knowledge, is purely infinite therefore never reached.
Proving God exist is impossible because you cant show he is related to us, like all these invisible immaterial pink dinosaurs floating aroud me and blessing my keyboard.
Mathematics is a gift from God.
replace "god" with "plato" and you got what a lot of people (like myself) believe.![]()
If I were to attribute it to any man I'd say Pythagoras, but since Pythagoras was a mystic he would probably agree with my first statement.
i doubt triangles are much like us but we can still do proofs surrounding their existance n stuff
non-crap-posting translation: science can't explain logic/mathematics
What I dislike are answers that only seems to try confuse people instead of seeking answers.
There are lot of things that science cant explain, but we can observe them and make further conclusions. Logic and math cant be disproved while God cant be proved but can be easily disproved.
What data do you have that easily disproves God?
Not at all. You have your own experiences which make you take the existence into account. I'm merely saying that without those experiences I am limited to transferable proof. And your personal experiences aren't transferable (verfiable observations). Not that I doubt your integrity, but would I not have to believe you in order to take your word as proof?
I'm sorry, I read the emphasis in that statement wrong.God does exist.
He's won 21 Grammys, he sits in French-ass restaurants, he likes fish sticks, and his last album got a 9.5 on Pitchfork.
two objections to this:
1. there's a different between countable infinity and uncountable infinity. this only works if facts about ourselves is uncountably infinite, which you haven't really shown. anyway...
