Presidents of Confederacy, Latin American nations, announce phase two of Bolivar plan!

Top Military Leaders of South America Saluting President Goldwater for his effots

President Goldwater finished his meeting with the heads of all CAN Latin American states earlier today to discuss the future of the newly reformed and growing democracies. What he has deemed as "Phase 2" of the Bolivar Plan, President Goldwater laid out an extensive and ambitious plan for further South American reform.

"The first phase of the plan was a roaring success," Announced the President, "And we must aim high for phase 2 and expect similar results."

The plan outlines, among other things, freedom of the press and civil service reform combined with government accountability to reduce corruption that is already on the downturn throughout South America.

The Primary aspect of the plan is the implementation of a new currency as soon as the nations reach an acceptable level of stability (7 or higher). This new currency will be unique to each country, and attempt to deal with the super-inflation which had plagued the nations for so long in the past, restoring confidence and allowing a new start for the countries seeking relief from unstable economic futures. Many Latin American states still tie their currency to that of the CSA Dollar.

Overall economic liberalization, with the eventual goal of total government non-intervention, is the goal of this new phase. Though political and social reforms, especially regarding corruption and freedom of the press, are involved, they are being superceded for now to the recovery of the fragile South American economies.

President Goldwater also announced his hopes for, perhaps in the distant future, common currencies among South American nations, like that envisioned by many in the European Union. This would only come, however, once South America's future is totally secure and stable, but would create an environment where all members are motivated to ensure freedom and stability for all.

India expresses concern over the current state of racial segregation within the Confederate States, and fears their current "Compassion Project" will only further segregate blacks from whites.

However, we are pleased at the intentions of phase II of the Bolivar Plan, particularly since many of these nations have been suppressing pro-democracy groups since their democractically elected governments were overthrown with aid from a foreign nation.

Though we firmly stand by Our ITO allies, we recognize and Praise the CAN efforts to Stabilize the Econimies of our Nigboring Nations, and offer a hand to them in helping them do so. If, One day, you Dream of a Common Currency between the nations of south Amarica Come true, we hope to be part of it.

The first annual summit of the SAEC was picked to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal. Why it was choosen, no one really knows, but the only other options were India or Sri Lanka, as all other members were undergoing government changes that year.

It was mostly a quiet meeting. Economists would show diagrams of what was going on, how the economies were growing despite their dismal state. Projections were made on when they would be back to "decent" levels, but these were just propaganda for the fodder. India had shown the most growth though, but that was expected as it was the largest, and poorest, nation in the group, as well as undertaking the most reforms to open up her markets.

Most of the conversation at the meetings fell on other buisness though, particularly CAN. The question of whether to join European nations in the boycott of the CSA for its harsh treatment of minorities was petitioned, but the results were sketchy at best. Whether to reciprocate the boycott on Portugal and Spain for their inhumane treatment of colonial people, as well as exploitation of, resulted in further skepticism.

However, opening up further trade barriers between member nations was something all could, and did, agree upon. At the very least tariffs would be reduced to minimal levels, and rumors of a free trade agreement spurred from the closed doors. However, none participating in the summit would comment on it, suggesting that it wouldn't be revealed until it was finalized by the new governments.

i hope you guys know that blacks aren't a minority in the CSA.... they are the majority (not by a lot)

SAEC is taking a vote on it, though I'm not sure what the decision on it is. Just as we are taking a vote on a trade embargo to reciprocate the acts of Spain and Portugal ;)

Key members doesn't mean the entire nation is, and so far only silver has even said anything about it.

The CSA reminds the nations of SEAC that it is putting pressue on both Spain and portugal to at least grant more freedoms to their colonies (and people), and is taking over defense and administration of said colonies. As such, we suggest the SEAC wait and see what happens to the colonies under joint-CAN rule before making its decisions.

India reminds you that you petitioned us to wait, and we agreed, than Portugal and Spain launced a trade embargo against us. We will not wait around to see what surprises the entirety of CAN offers.

-Channel Seven News, some two months after the fall of the Saudi Government-

An old man, gray hair sticking off his head like einstein, stands before a camera. He also stands before an ancient mosque in Riyadh. When the light turns green he begins to talk.

"........And we're back. If you just tuned in then you've clearly missed alot. Just in the last hour has much progress been made in Arabia. Some two weeks ago, with assistance from the Soviet government, almost all important figures in "Saudi" Arabia met to discuss the future of the country.

Within this meeting were three clear sides: the Pro-royalist members, many of them key generals, who supported the return of the Saudi monarchy; the Pro-democratic members, supported by France and the USA, who naturally supported installing a democratic government; and a third, religious side who had the backing of much of the Middle East. Little progress was made during nearly the entire first and a half weeks, with the decisions always being deadlocked. but however, during the last couple days a compromise was made between the factions. The religious faction, the main group that was deadlocking all the talks, recently came under the control of Abu al' Azural sheik Kabin. The man is heralded for his work in uniting the groups and becaus eof him much of the progress that has been done is complete.

So far the main issues has been the reutrn of the Saudi monarchy in return for a strenghtened Council of Imams to rule over the internal affiars and place a check on the king's power. Just two hours ago the Saudi prince, Prince Ali, has informed everyone that he will accept the throne.

With the future of the talks looking bright, many believe that the country is well back onto it's way to stability. This has been Joseph Gunther, reporting live from the Riyadh meetings."

Sorry for how short and sucky it was, but I had to make compromises and most of my story fell apart after that. Orders sent.

The French ambassador to Saudi Arabia wishes to know if the Riyadh Agreement will still be respected by the new Saudi government, or have the Saudis aligned themselves with the Communists?
