[Graphic Mod] Varietas Delectat v9.2 [civ specific unit sets]

Also, this is very simple. Even you do not deny he was a Great Spy, you simply deny the fact that he's fitting for Germany.
On the very same ground you could argue about Columbus and all other great people that betrayed their respective governments.
You never know who the Great Spies are because Great Spies don't get caught.

Canaris got caught and was executed by the Nazis.

That would make him both a traitor (by definition) and not a very good spy!

You could (however) make a Canaris "Great Spy" unit for Civ4... the only thing is, whenever you use Canaris in a mission, your enemies get several thousand espionage points against you.

Okay, okay, it seems I'll never be able to persuade some graphics people to do the art... well, it was worth a try I guess...

I have the reverse problem... I can always convince somebody the need for a certain unit (Erwin Rommel, Martin B-10, etc), I just can't ever get anyone to complete said model!

Er, Wolf? Explorers?
There's exceptions to every rule... but custom explorers is something I've been campaigning for forever!

Hope someone can help me.
This mod is the only way I play now :goodjob:
But I would like to add the Toltec civ to it:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=264909

Is there a way(an easy way) to merge the two. I can manage adding the leaderheads, but adding in the units is a bit out of my league.

Thanks!

The easiest way were to add the Toltecs under Modules and edit the Toltec CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml file to use the unit and city art of one of the VD south american civs (<ArtStyleType> and <UnitArtStyleType> tags).

updated to v3.6

this one proved to be even more work than I thought...
Ah good... now we're finally going to get a slew of new units in the next 24hrs.

Now I feel like making units just to force you to update again... :p

Holy Roman EDU Units here we come! :mischief:

Good, first I'll start with Holy Roman Tanks and Marines and then work my way down... ;)
(Ok seriously, Holy Roman units are way, way down on my list of units to do. Even Ronald Reagan (Great Prophet for US) and Michael Jackson (Great Artist) are above them... :shake:)

Oh by the way, thanks for the update! :goodjob: I forgot to say that in the last post.

PS: Maybe John Wayne would make a better great Artist... Or maybe a ancient/medieval great general dressed like he was in his famous role in "The Conqueror". :hmm:

Maybe some Iraqi's for modern Babylon? :D or Iranians for modern Persia? Some flavoured medieval or modern workers would be cool.. Maybe you could use one of those cool Ethiopians you made for a modern settler?

What's so bad about HRE??? I mean besides the fact that it was the single biggest mistake on Firaxis' part to include them instead of, say, the Principality of Monaco or even Faeroe Islands? :wallbash: :ar15: :hammer:  :spank: :deadhorse: ;)

Sid : We need another Civ for Beyond the Sword...

Firaxis Ideas Guy #1 : What about Israel or -

Firaxis Ideas Guy #2 : Hey, I know - HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE! Trust me, they'll love it. :king:

Sid : The Holy Roman Empire is in. One space left?

Firaxis Ideas Guy #1 : Poland..?

Firaxis Ideas Guy #2
: NATIVE AMERICANS!!! We can have Sitting Bull as the leader, and totem poles, it will be rad.

Sid : Cool, now we just wait... if Beyond the Sword sells then you're going to be the Head of the Ideas Department in Civilization V. :D

Firaxis Ideas Guy #2 : HELLS YES! :hammer2:

@ Chuggy - rotfl
From what i heared the sell of BtS is below the expectations so i think he can just dream about being Head of the Ideas Department :D

I thought the sales would be massive? (how high were the expectations?!) .. it did get a lot of good praise at least, apart from the HRE addition of course. Well I hope that ideas guy stays with CivRev (I'm assuming that's what he's working on now).
