Jeez, yes, you are more than right of course.:shifty: I fell to the other side of the horse :deadhorse: ( did I say I just loooove literal translation of Hungarian proverbs? ;) ) I'm afraid, but I just HAVE to make that game I can play relaxed, knowing I did everything I could to suit my fancy needs;) And that'll be Quot Capita... I'm returning to it soon enough, I just don't know if a patch will really come from Firaxis or not??:dubious:
 
I like VD very much, especially the diversity of the many infantry units. But I have a question about the mod: Does VD has the newest bug fixes from the official BtS patches implemented?

In the game I am actually playing, I am observing that the AI is building many military academys. But none of the AI civs has invented the required technology military science. I thought that bug was fixed in one of the patchs.

The fixed bugs were the main reason why I stoped using the EDU mod, because EDU isn't supported anymore after the newest patches. That's why I am asking.

AFAIK it should be fixed. If you are certain about the bug, I can see that it's corrected.
 
Thanks for your answer. After you wrote, you are quite sure it should be fixed, I had another look and found the problem somewhere else. So please forget I have said anything. ;)
 
Avain, how is v3.7 coming along?

I'm working on it as I write this. It's at circa 25 new units (with MEE part). But most probably I won't release it until Chuggi updates CD.

I have installed the Modern Era Expansion and the Hungary Mod too and i have a little question:
If i want to modify a standard BtS .xml file, i just put the modified one in the CustomAssets folder, respecting the exact path of the [BtS]\Assets folder.
What i have to do if i want modify some text entries in the VD's .xml files? Do i recreate the exact path of the mod in my CustomAssets folder, or shall i modify the original VD's files?

To be honest, I don't know if CustomAssets is ok now or still buggy or if it overrides stuff from a mod, so unfortunately I cannot comment on that one.
The text entries are found in the Assets/XML/Text folder.
I guess you could modify the original VD files if the CustomAssets does not work.
 
I have been seeing a weird bug with VD 3.6(I have Hungary+Modern Era expansion installed). Sometimes units of another civ appear alongside or in place of units of a particular civ. For example, in my last game, I saw england exploring using a warrior, and they were using an asian warrior.

Not my mod, but could this be a saved-game issue? It's possible for models and leaders to "swap spots" if a new version isn't compatible with an older version's save-game.

I've seen an older version saved game (in my own mod) switch leaders around if you load with the wrong version number... say Lincoln might be the US leader in an older version, then Genghis Khan is the leader of America if you use that old saved game on a newer release... might also effect ground units such as in your example.

Of course my point only applies to using saved games from older versions on newer versions... if that's not your case, I just typed a bunch of useless info! :p

Hmmm. Is it reproducible? Could you please provide a savegame?

My initial assumption is that it's modular loading again, but I would like to check out.
 
I think I fixed the problem. I had other civs added, and one of them required me to alter one of VD's modular xml files, I believe that was what was causing the problem.

Well whatever is causing the problem switching to a clean version of VD(with hungary and ME installed) is what worked finally. I had to get rid of the modular civs however :(
 
Hey guys. I really like the Russian architecture from Road to War, and would like to add it to the mod myself as an excercise. COuld you give me a list of all files I need to open and modify?
