It appears that I got confused, mixing up Quot Capita with Varietas Delectat, which is kindof understandable, since he's asked the question in the Varietas Delectat thread and not the appropriate one. Still should have paid more attention. Sorry.

I learned about Quot Capita's existance from within this thread, so asked in this tread. Check page 82.

Avain, I have installed 3.19 update, and the new VD, and now get error messages on startup:

"Failed Loading XML file modules Varietas delectat unitartstyles&civinfos\vd_Civ4 civilizationsinfo.xml"

After pressing "ok" I get this second error message:

"Load XML Failed for modules\varietas delectat\xml\unitartstyles&civinfos\vd_"

Did I also need to redownload all the additional empires like Hungary, and the Leaderheads also? I just used my old versions.

I also learned the Leaderheads no longer load, so reinstalled them and they still do not appear in the game any more. The additional empires are in the game just the Leaderheads no longer work, perhaps that is why I am getting the error messages. It appears Leaderheads is no longer compatible with the new version.

Yes, the Leaders need a quick fix, I'm on it.

Ok, here's a quick fix for Leaders of VD:
replace the file at [Your BtS dir]\Mods\Varietas Delectat\Assets\Modules\Varietas Delectat\XML\UnitArtStyles&CivInfos\

with this one (unpack with 7zip first):

sorry to bother but I recently had to reformat my hard drive and I just finished installing civ4 all the way to BTS v3.19. I loved your addon so much I wanted to put it back on. but when I finished installing it these messages appaered.. and windows then shut the prog down.

can you help?

@DragonTempest: Please make sure the modular loading is on, i.e. if you renamed the mod, or somehow in the ini it's 0, then set it to 1. This can cause problems like yours.

LOL I agree with you on the not having any interest in using Obama, I got a chuckle out of that.

it is kidda iratating thought to cycle through all the messages to get to play the game. I tried that patch Avian did, but to no avail.

The ini Avain is talking about, is: CivilizationIV.ini, which should be in "My Games\Beyond the Sword\"
Look for the following and save the file, if it needs to be changed:

; Modular XML Loading
ModularLoading = 1

Does this new 3.19 compatible version of the LH mod contain any other optimizations? I'll happily give it another go on my system and report back if it does, but I dont want to play out another game all the way to the end only to have the same crashes if nothing has changed on the memory front.

Did 3.19 in an of itself do anything that could help with the late game crashes with the LH mod?

The LH mod is the same, so if you couldn't play/finish a game with it, I'd advice not to use it.
Also, AFAIK Firaxis did not address the MAF errors.
