Saudi elections?
Saudi Arabia has held municipal elections for councils in charge of road maintenance and garbage collection.

Women were also permitted to run, although they were not allowed to electioneer—Saudi law forbids a woman talking to a man with whom she is not married, so speeches had to be read by a man on the woman’s behalf.

I’m kind of surprised that neither Donald Trump nor Bill Clinton ever moved to Saudi Arabia. Maybe they’re not attracted to Arab women.

Huge fudging stretch to call Oslo a planned city

like yea after the fire it was kinda laid out in a plan, but like it's gone way out of that in the hundred of years since

Like Constantinople was like planned when mister constantine moved there, but you wouldn't call Istanbul a planned city

I was trying to think of examples of "technically" planned cities that kinda really aren't

new york was another example, gridwork on upper manhattan was planned, but new york wouldn't be called a planned city.

And like, London, when it first was made by the romans I think they laid out a plan, but that city too is not considered planned

I am also pretty sure Chukchi has it.
Ankara became the capital in a symbolic gesture, cause supposedly that was the important stand in the Greek-Turkish(and Italian, Soviet) war. In that spirit, they should have moved the capital to Moscow or Rome.

AFAIK Ankara was to get theTurkish Capital out of reach of the British fleet, after the Dardanelles

That isn't realistic, though, cause Britain was made to leave the area by France (also Greece was forced by France, and the local lowlives capitulated as usual; Eastern Thrace & Constantinople could have been kept). Turkey wouldn't be able to invade anything in Europe, with no fleet in the first place.

Btw, @Hrothbern , here is Venizelos in Holland ^_^
