Guess the Map IV: A Thousand Cries for "Hint Please!"

It works for democratic heads of state as well. (link)

Legend:

1940s
1950s
1960s
1971 - 1985
1985 - 1991
1991 - 2000
2000 - 2005
After 2005

A few are a bit off, but the general idea should be correct.

And the map isn't pointless. A head of state is not necessarily the political leader.

Off by a year as I based it on length in position (as of June 22, I believe),

over 60 years
50-60 years
40-50 years
30-40 years
20-30 years
10-20 years
5-10 years
0-5 years

There are a couple that are off that I know of. At least one switched categories between making the map and now.
I split up the bottom one to try and take a few out of that category.
And, yes it does mean nothing, but that doesn't matter.

I was hoping the different Commonwealth Realms territories may confuse people since they are based on independence, not the Queen's initial coronation.

contre or tailess go ahead you got the idea and specifics, respectively.

Defer to tailless.

Given Papua New Guinea #1, I'd say #of languages or #of bird species or #of Jared Diamond refrences

You know, I'd've thought Russia to be larger.

A lot of data is missing. New Zealand #1 by a very wide margin.

Map is tracking cost.

good guess, but Norway having more than Ireland?

It's not about Women's Rights, it's not sea-related (land-locked countries are on the map), but maybe something about number of animals in captivity? No...

@contre Yes, this map is awesome! It would even be more awesome if someone could name the small islands in Polynesia (And the Carribbean), I probably always mix them up, so I'd guess most maps would be more accurate then ;)

Is it money spent on farming subsidies?

When I say map is tracking cost, I mean it's tracking the amount something costs in various countries.

After going Pacific island by Pacific island for 2 hours on some of these maps, I'm going to go through and label it all and then post that map.

Something to do with oil?

But then almost all the world would be coloured exuding the middle east

Not necessarily. Maybe he doesn't have the data for most of those countries? I doubt it is oil anyway, I just said it could be a possibility without the Middle East.

I don't have data for the countries in grey, no. Data was kinda hard to find.

When I saw New Zealand is the highest, it's 3x the cost there than the second highest.
