While viewing the who's online feature here at CFC, I noticed a very strange thing with one of the guests visiting the forums:

Can anybody explain to me how a guest could edit a post? I always thought only registered users could do that. (with their own posts, that is)
I hope this isn't a breach in CFC's security, but just something stupid I haven't noticed. It's not good if we can have guests start editing posts of registered users...

Since the thread wasn't named, I assume the edit didn't work for our guest. Probably our guest tried or accidentally clicked on the edit button and you just happened to pick that up while doing your who's online viewing. ;)

I doubt there can be such a serious lapse in id security.

Do ivisable mode posters show as guests on the who is online, or do they not count at all there?

Only admins can see invisible posters. For other people they show up as guests I think...

Oooh.

Admin (and mods?) can see the patterns of registered users? Ah I didn't quite...well expect that. Guest viewing this, viewing that...

We can all see that. Just go to "Who's online" in the quick forum jump feature.
