Is there a guide out there that gives a basic summary of all the buildings and their worth?

I just took a load of 'Wealth' cities off to build 'Mass Transit System' but giveny army of workers.. Wonder if there was any point since all pollution gets automatically removed by my workers.

Which is another question. How many workers in the space age?

Mass transit lowers pollution caused by population to 1 so you don't need them until a metro is larger than size 13.

You'll have fewer workers than you did in the industrial age since you should be done with improvements now and only need to worry about pollution or small projects like new towns. Unless of course you're at war when you'll need workers to road and railroad new lands to speed up reinforcement. People suggest 2 workers per city as a number to strive for, this helps you from the predicament of founding a new town and having no workers avaliable to improve the area around it.

There's @Aabraxan's "Multiplier Buildings" thread somewhere, that might be a good start...

*rummage*

Here 'tis:

There is also a PDF somewhere on CFC that includes a page which lists all the buildings, their costs, what they do and what pollution they cause, but I can't remember who posted it, or where it is.

*more rummaging*

Hey, how about that...!

It does contain a few inaccuracies (e.g. IIRC, the tech-tree still includes "Radio" in the Industrial Age, but this tech was removed in Conquests), but the info's mostly good.
