Yes, I live in San Diego (actually in a nearby city). However, I lived in Japan (for many, many years), attended a Japanese University, and am bilingual (Japanese/English).

Probably the best way to learn is to join a NES and get help from more experienced players. Join in as a small nation possibly.

Yes I am. I am a time traveller from an age when there was no CivIII, no personal computers, and no television (among other things).

Yeah, most NESes don't handle that much detail. But knowing how to plan for an invasion will come in handy every time.

I am seriously considering it. You have a very congenial group which I think contributes immeasurably to the fun. I am going to lurk a bit longer though as most of my Civ time right now is devoted to helping El Justo get his new scenario out.

Well, take your time. The NES forum is going anywhere. We've had an exponential growth since the beginning, and on the plus side, most of those who quit eventually return.
