GuideNES: The First Step for Lurkers and Newbies!

Might be a tad bit early for most everyone we know. ;)

Yeah, I'm thinking I'ma move the start date up to 1000 BC, just so every thing's a bit more familiar for the new players, and to get things rolling just a bit faster. Feel free to adjust your templates, guys, to compensate for this change.

Sorry for the abrupt change... Abaddon wasn't as organized as I predicted, and it's very late here ;).

One issue Zx (I'ma just call you that for simplicity :p); Abaddon is fixing the template, and the stuff that is left blank, should remain blank. Come update 0, I'll assign you a certain amount of ships and men and economy based on a multitude of factors (your type of nation, culture, location, etc). Till then, just leave the stuff blank now.

Otherwise, the rest looks really good. Know that your King will likely die within an update (since they're 100 years long) so if you wanna expand the description to describe not just the individual founder King, but his dynasty as well, go right ahead.

@Abaddon; My NES to run? This is your grand undertaking, I'm just here to help ;).

@Erez Jews in 2000 BC!? Oi vey. Might be a tad early for jews and phoenicians just yet...
ok. corrected

Funny thing, I was just thinking if my nation was approriate for 2000 BCE but now with the start moved 1000 years later, no problem.

oops doublepost, trying to get rid of bad habits picked from certain other forums

Yeah, 2000 BC is just too limiting in terms of what players can do, even if its the more traditional start point. I'll edit your template into the stats for now, smudging some things and tidying up any areas I feel need tidying. Make sure to look them over and PM me if you find any issue with them (If I interpreted something wrong, for instance). Try to keep the posting to a minimum, and don't double post like you just did (Spam is bad!).

EDIT: And boo secular Common Era nonsense ;).

Sure, do you want an Advisor? Seeing you in AbNES, I don't think you really need one!

If you want one, you can of course have one (assuming we don't run out of them for real newbs who would get preference)

Fill out the template and your good to go! :)

Well I ... kinda feel like playing normally, but can a newbie be assigned to me whenever he or she feels like joining, and until that I can play as Egypt? :p Or, on the other hand, I could play an NPC actively, if you understand me... Not playing to win, and will play passively.
I prefer option one. :)

Playing normally is FINE, as long as you do not activly persue killing off Newbies!

Fill in your template, and you can be wherever/whatever you like.

:mischief:

Of course I won't. When a new player joins, he is allowed to take over my nation, if I can be his advisor. I will attemp to be an NPC, and there is no reason to mention me in the updates.

Oh, on second thoughts I'll have egypt if LJ is going to be its advisor. Well if he doesn't mind that is.

I'll be your advisor then :) note though that I have no idea about Egyptian history.

Hmmm.

I don't mind that, LJ isn't exactly a veteran player ~ but I know he is up to the task. Good luck boyos :)

Thankyou Mr Moose.

I'll give it a few more days to assign Advisors unless you want to grab Zx?

You fancy starting a nation near him?

I would like to join in as a viking nation. (or pre-viking)
I'm not a newby anymore, but i'm also not an advisor.
So I'll join in as a normal player if possible.

Although i alsways want to help if needed ;-)
