GuideNES: The First Step for Lurkers and Newbies!

I'll have the blanked RfmK map up in an hour Joesf.

I can be guide to those who others don't want to guide... I have so much more patience.

Would it be plausible for you two to allow interested players to do an occaisonal update to gain Moderating experience? I know I would appreciate it. You would, of course, have to approve it first, but I am sure you could find some system for allowing it.

And, as I have made the mistake yet again, 'you two' refers strictly to Abaddon and Josef.

As far as I am aware, we havn't had anyone in that situation.. New people are a blank slate ~ I just have a list of people who are willing to be mentors

Sure, Europe will remain divided for a fair while (certainly england/scand etc) and we could split things up so you did an update of that area in order to give it a go...

Hmm, so a YES, but will have to work out exactly how!?

Meh, spent the day in bed with a dirty hoe (her words) and we're now going to tea.. i'll post the map i've ALMOST blanked :p

To add more relevance to this post, I suggest simply magic-wanding everything that's white, water-blue, and black, inverting the selection, and 100% tolerance-filling the then-selected area with white.

That is, if you have any more-than-basic picture-editing software (e.g. Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.NET) to edit with.

EDIT: My suggestion sucks. /itried I only posted to get that joke off my chest.

And who stands? Russia!

 rest assured, your nations will rise from the ruins of those that went before them

I guess we are teaching the newbs that they need patience when dealing with mods too ;). Well, Abaddon did most of the work I assigned him (lazy manwhore :p), expect update sometime tonight. And don't be surprised if your "nations" turn out a tad different than you imagined...

Nah, us from RFMK are very used to having to wait for updates. What you are going to have to break us of is our habit of cracking jokes about it:p

indeed. Or we'll begin making commentaries about past wars, and just add complaints 5-6 times a day.

Sign me up for that, I'd like some practice too. :p

Mmmm I do find this slightly patronising. I'm sure us from Forum Games don't need a tutor, just someone to help out occasionally and give suggestions.

Isn't that what a tutor is? Someone who helps out and gives suggestions? :p

Anyways, I'll be happy to be anyones patron, tutor, helper, instructory, guide, etc. ;)

How about you use this one?

I grabbed it from a friend of mine at RFMK. It is the blank map.

Off to a fairly inconsistent start... but Joe didn't finish tonight :(. It's ok, alot of work got done, it's the damned NPC's that are killing me. If abaddon ever gets online *cough* he can help me there, and help put on some of the finishing touches when I get there. Until then, expect update tomorrow.

EDIT: I need Abaddon to take care of things, and have passed some work onto him while I sleep. This will speed up the updating process if he isn't a lazy bastard ;).
