In the game are we going for conquest? I like conquest!!
Domination seems like kind of a cop out for the way this team and this game is going.

I like the idea of conquest. :goodjob: It does not look like there are any 1 tile islands to deal with. Conquest will take alot longer though, so I'm okay either way. Once we create a little space from England & Babylon domination will be quick.

Note - we are not too far from the English spices. Once the American infantry is thinned a little more we can grab them.

Conquest is fine for me, but it'll take a lot longer and i'm not sure how much time for civ i'll have in August. I might need a swap a couple of times.

conquest should be not that tedious too, once we have eliminated those stacks America is gassed too. That way, I can also get to play one more time :D

Got it.
If I get a leader, I'm building the MA. I want the stronger armies.
Is the consenus to go for conquest? We could win by domination in the next 20 I bet...

Yah! Kill 'em all....

I only got 3 turns done today. RP just came in.
Since conquest is the goal do we want to go Medicine>SM>Electronics, or do we want to go for The Corp heading for tanks? (6 techs to get to tanks) :(
I'm also toying with the idea of a detour to Espionage for spies and the SPHQ. I doubt spies would be very useful but the SPHQ sure as hell would be.
At any rate I'm going to run low sci for a few turns and get cash for upgrading cannons and rifles.
I won't play again till tomorrow morning, so please chime in, in the next 8 hours or so. :)

I am leaning towards the Hoover route. If we keep the AI pillaged we won't need tanks. Hoovers and the SPHQ would do wonders for our production while the AI's production is already on the ropes thanks to the pillaging.
As luck would have it, I cut the only 2 rubber the AI's had this turn. (That I can see, there could be another in the fog in Bab land)
Armies were right by them. :)

I also popped a leader and we will have the Military Academy next turn. :D
It's in a crap town that will never be able to build armies though. I didn't want to sit on the leader. It was the first elite battle of the turn. I couldn't get him to the home continent this turn. Galleons were out of position.

I don't think research matters that much, I would try and get refining to find out where the oil is, so that the AI will not ever get it.

Since we are commies, the SPHQ would help a lot, but I doubt we really depend on it. We have a mountain of arty, and that should be good enough to blast them away.

If we can get espianage in 5 turns or less, I would go for that. Otherwise I would beeline for tanks, using the ToE to help us out.
Who has Smith's? Did America get that one? Sometimes it doesn't get built, and it would be groovey to get.
I agree with the MA regardless of where it got built.
Progress sounds good.

We can get Espionage in 5 turns at +4gpt.
Problem is we have 49 cannon and at 60 gold per upgrade I need to run 0% sci for a while. Thank God we captured Leo's...

Smiths has not been built.

I'm going to go for espionage ASAP after I get the majority of our cannon upgraded.
Keep the comments coming. I always have my browser and my e-mail open when playing. :)

SPHQ would be a nice bump. Agree with the spy=>ToE=>Hoovers route. May want those on the main continent.

Building Smiths wouldn't hurt, I am just not sure if it would help.

I need one more day guys. Too much going on today to get it done. :(

Inherited turn: I turned animations on so check this. Went thru all cities. Changed very little. Nice job Handy. :goodjob:

I’m not going to do a detailed turn log, just the highlights.

Turn 1-3 See previous posts.

Got another leader in Turn 4. He became another cav army. That one will stay in the Gauntlet area and our Knight army with one cav in it, is heading out to pillage. 4 armies pillaging will be nice. :D
Fog busting in Bab land revealed another source of rubber this turn. Will cut it next turn.

Turns 5-10: Just killed a bunch of American infantry and finished railing the home land.
Pillaged the hell out of the AI.

Summary: All size 12 cities are set for max shields.
I was going to move on Babylon a couple of turns ago. It seemed the infantry flow had slowed considerably. All of a sudden there was another rush, so that is why you see little forward progress during my turns. You should be able to move out next turn though. Be warned though. There are a bunch of infantry (15 maybe) in Dallas healing.

I was going to build some banks and other infra, but frankly I don’t think we need them.
The AI is close to being gassed. If we put those shields into units instead, we should be able to make fairly fast headway.

I got one or two Police Stations done in cities where it made the difference between 4 and 3 turn cavs. There are probably more that could stand to be built. For instance, G-Ville could use a cop shop.

BTW, according to CivAssistII, the SPHQ should net us over +100gpt in recovered corruption, and a lot of shields as well. Don't know where the best place would be, Bugsville area maybe? Does it help with distance corruption like the FP? I know it raises the OCN, but I don't know about the other...

We can get Espionage in 4 turns at positive gold.
That is the way it’s set now.

All but 8 cannon and 8 rifles have been upgraded. I ran 0% sci for 5 turns.

I didn’t MM this turn. Also I have a bunch of workers on jungle tiles at Noviomagus. There are enough to clear the jungle, then road the tile next turn.
Beserker Ale is still the rally point.

I don’t believe I will see this game again. I think the AI is on the verge of a total collapse.

Roster check:

Greebley - played his turns this round
Handy - played his turns this round
Bugs -
Rat -
Bede
Obormot
Romeo - UP (I think)
Matt - just played

I've been thinking about my turn set. I wish I hadn't been so cautious.
In hindsight I could have made progress into Babylon and America.
I didn't though because of all the damn infantry America was sending.
I was afraid that if I moved out the majority of units, the AI would show up with another big stack of it
.
Oh well, hindsight is always 20-20.

Romeo should be able to kick some major butt.
