IBT- England hits Outpost with 5 bombers. AI loses 3 cav, 2 infantry, guerilla attacking there. English land knight at Babylon Beachhead.

Turn 1 (1555AD) Kill the offending English knight. We have two bombers. Both sink a Bab frigate after artillery fire. Carthage loses 2 frigates and a galleon to naval action and artillery fire. Babs lose 2 infantry, guerilla, settler on island without a town. Kill 3 English infantry and guerilla by Outpost. Carthage loses musket.

IBT- Didn’t log any combat. Ship movement resulted in several landings.

Turn 2 (1560AD) 5 Bab cav destroyed at Outpost. Babs lose 2 cav and 2 infantry at Bab Beachhead. Bab galleon and 2 frigates sunk by AI Bait.

IBT- English lose 2 infantry and Carthage 4 cav by Outpost.

Turn 3 (1565AD) 2 Bab frigates and galleon sunk. Capture and disband 2 english workers.

IBT- English lose 2 infantry and 1 cav by Outpost.

Turn 4 (1570AD) Bombers sink 3 Bab frigates and a galleon.

IBT- English lose a cav and 2 infantry by Outpost. Carthage loses a cav. We lost a galleon and a couple transports that I just paid a bunch of cash for, but the transport that survives has the Outpost infantry reinforcements on board.

Turn 5 (1575AD) 261st Bomb Squadron based at Sitting Bull AFB kills 3 infantry at Outpost. Artillery and destroyer, frigate plus two aircraft from 262nd Bomb Squadron at AI Bait sink 3 Carthagian frigates and a galleon. Bab infantry and cav killed on island without a town (IWOT).

IBT- Outpost attacks cost AI 8 infantry, 5 guerillas, 5 cav, 1 medieval infantry

Turn 6 (1580AD) Carthage Ironclad sunk by 261st Bomb Squadron. Artillery by AI Bait with our ships sink 3 Bab frigates and a galleon. Carthage lose infantry and rifle plus 2 settlers on IWOT. 262nd takes out 3 Carthaginian frigates and a Galleon by IWOT. Also Carthage and English infantry. Launch another cav army from Outpost to join in the pillaging.

IBT- Outpost attacks cost us an infantry. AI loses 8 infantry, 2 cav, guerilla.

Turn 7 (1585AD) 3 English Man-O-War and a galleon go under, courtesy of the 262nd. 263rd Bomb Squadron now based at the IWOT airfield disconnects Bab oil at Mari.
Cadiz is shelled with only one infantry defending. Cav army captures and razes. 261st takes out 2 English infantry and a Carthaginian.

IBT- AI loses 3 cav and an infantry against Outpost. Our infantry army is red-lined, but in typical AI fashion then stops attacking. Go figure. :p

Turn 8 (1590AD) Cav army from outpost kills 2 Bab infantry and guerilla. 263rd sinks 3 Bab frigates and a galleon. IWOT defense team gets Bab guerilla, cav, and infantry plus 2 more slaves. 261st gets an infantry and a cav out of Outpost kills a Bab cav. Outpost is now clear of enemy infantry. Ship over the bombers to Outpost from the 261st and 262nd.

IBT- The 5 English bombers hit ours at Outpost. Bab SoD moved north and out of the AO for whatever reason. :confused:

Turn 9 (1595AD) Brighton is hit by our bombers and the two defenders plus one bomber killed. Cav army moves in and takes it. Outpost cav kills an English cav.

IBT- Espionage> MotorT in 9. Bab cav move next to Brighton. Lot of sea movement by AI Bait. New Tonawanda gets hit with a propaganda campaign.

Turn 10 (1600AD) New Tonawanda riots. Abandon Brighton and send cav army back to Outpost. Form the 414th Bomb Sqdn at an airfield by AI Bait with our latest bombers. Our elite destroyer takes on a redlined English cruiser and loses. :mad:

Land 2 cav armies next to Mari.

Salamanca switches to Intelligence Agency due in 2.

And done. 39 bombers now active. I found short rushing flak @ 70 shields then switching to bombers worked well near the core, but then that was at 500+ gpt. Now down to 156 so we can get MT in 9. There’s an unfilled army by Sitting Bull AFB. He can wait for tanks. I pillaged every lux and resource I could get close to, so happiness may be an issue for the AI. ;)

nice names for our air force...let's take out that Island and resettle, then if we take the south of the main continent, shouldn't that be enough for domination?

By the way, is the English oil pillaged?

Probably 15-25% of the map remains hidden, but F8 reports us at 50%+
 
Might want to rush walls & temple in outpost. After border expansion you can build an airfield on the southern side so we can airlife cav & infantry over there. Saturation bombing of the surrounding cities should allow cav armies to stroll into empty cities.

We should also switch corrupt island cities to temples for border expansion, and get settlers to the empty islands.
 
pre-turn:
- Went through all towns to optimize scifarms, start building temples with civil engineers in coastal cities (since we decided to go for domination), and all that boring stuff. Rush a few settlers.
- I decided to settle the empty island and the bab island where we dropped our armies after we clear it, start moving settlers and transports.
- Our navy is pathetic and we only have one decent coastal city (St. Regis). It is switched to transports, no time for destroyers. I think bombers will do the job of destroying enemy ships ;)
- Outpost doesn't seem to be threatened in this IBT, so i moved slaves out and the inf army to cover them to build an airfield so that we can airlift lots of units next turn and beat the hell out of them.

IBT
- 4 english bombers hit Outpost, a few bab cavs commit suicide, some unit movement.

1605 (turn 1)
- Our bombers at outpost shell carthage, population is reduced to 4 and all infantries are killed. A regular cavalry shows up, i attack it and

I noticed that carthagian culture sucks even more than ours and the population is low, so i decide to keep carthagian cities.

- And on the island front:

Bab city is razed because their culture is so big.

- Teleport tonns of infs and cavs to AI continent, some more slaves were turned into airfields. Any unit of value was transported to AI continent, i hope that we can defend with old MDI armies and artillery in case of a landing.
- Disband a slave and rush temple in Outpost. The flip chance is small, but if it flips...

IBT
- We loose an army to english bombers.

1610 (turn 2)
- We capture Utica and some incense after bombers kill all defenders:

- Rush harbour at Outpost and teleport some workers to start building roads and rails in newly captured territory and to connect the incense.

IBT
- The big bab stack returns, but we'll meet it with bombers and arty.

1615 (turn 3)

- One more down:

- We settle 4 towns on the empty island and this takes us to 60% land!

I will hold this town for one turn, just to transport settlers and more troops faster.

- Incense is now connected and we can reduce the lux rate to 0%.

- I forgot to move infantry into Leptis Minor and the english capture it. But they only have one cav inside.

1620 (turn 4)

- Recapture Leptis, bombard to take one hp off most bab units. No captured cities this turn because all bombers were busy with the babs.

- Everything is more or less quiet

1625 (turn 5)
- While bab stack heals after our bombardment we can advance further in Carthage:

- Pillaging army found bab rubber and disconnected it.

- Now let's deal with their southern cities:

IBT
- Babs capture Seattle. They had a big cavalry stack in the FOW. BTW, more and more bab units are coming, while english appear to be gassed and carthagians are almost dead.
- We learnt how to build tanks. Atomic theory is next in 6 turns at +90gpt.

1635 (turn 7)
- Settling 3 towns on newly captured island brings us to 64% land. 1 more town will be settled next turn.

- I retook Seattle and razed it because there were too many babs coming from thge north and the town is not connected by railroads, so i couldn't move infantry in.

- Advancing in the south:

- Some bombers and artillery are now in the north, holding off bab stacks, others clear the way for our cavalry in the south. Capturing southern cities should be enough for domination.

1640 (turn 8)
- We capture 2 more towns in the south and settle one more. This is enough to get us over the dom limit. If we press enter now we'll win by domination, but i stopped here because i think conquest might be more fun. I have just dropped one more cav army on the continent and 2 more are coming. There are 2 empty armies to be filled with tanks.
 
I am happy with either conquest or dom, though I do admit that Conquest can be more satisfying. Since I probably won't play again, I feel it best to defer the decision to those that will play it out.

Specifically, I will go with whatever Bugsy and Handy want to do.

Seriously, I think we have a very very strong team here.

Is there any challenge left we have not taken? AWDG pangaea? What is the next step if there is any?
