Happy Easter.

I plan to completely ignore this religious holiday that has nothing in common with me.

Oh wait, I just mentioned it, didn't I?

Damn...!

:)

I suppose Swedes are better Christians - the Swedish word for easter is påsk, derived from the Hebrew Pesach (which word is also transliterated in umpteen other ways).

Anyway, I'm going to see my parents tomorrow.

Somehow it is also connected with the Isis/Osiris thing - coming back to life after death again.
Rabbit and egg shall represent the fruitfull new growing periode - spring and fertility
There's a lot of pagan stuff in Christianism.
If not - maybe we'd still sit at Odins table?

Happy Easter to everybody! :)
We don' do anything special in Easter, just have a good time, except that my wife likes to keep up the tradition from her country with painting eggs.

And what shall be bad about it? Or is like in German egg an synonyme for testicles? Well, in this case I understand your objections :D

It still is here, and as far as I know everywhere in Sweden.
Interesting, actually I didn't know, but we Norwegians are quite half-barbarian, unfortunately...
And I prefer my eggs scrambled... :D

Here are the lyrics to an Easter song by the magnetic fields

He is my lord, He is my saviour and He rewards my good behavior
My secret soul, I know He's seen it
He says, come here baby and kiss me like you mean it
He calls me baby, says kiss me like you mean it
He is my life and my salvation
He's always right, He's always patient
I pinch myself It's like I'm dreaming it... He is my love, He's always been it...
I'm not sure they meant it as an Easter song, but the sentiment is pretty nice. Happy Easter folks. :)

And the French-- Paque. But we knew the French were good Christians anyway.

I suppose I'll spend a little more time than usual contemplating Christ and resolving to obey my signature.
