Harry Potter

I've read books 1 and 2. I found them to be well written, humourous, and quite imaginative. However, the magic didn't work on me completely as I started to get disenchanted sometime during book 2. I don't know, something about the whole "young kid confronts the ultimate evil time and time again" stopped making sense to me. Perhaps it just gets too dramatic that it lost some sense of wonder on me? Maybe I'm reading in to it too far or not young (at heart) enough to sit back and enjoy.

The 1st movie was very good, IMHO. Though it was not as brilliant as I had hoped. So many characters, so little time... Some just did not get enough screen time to be very effective, especially the professors and Malfoy.

I loved all four of the books and am eagerly awaiting the next movie, for the second book has always been my favorite.

I have not read Harry Potter, and don't have much desire to read the books, though I do read a lot.
