Hattrick

The end of another season. How did we all do?

I just managed to avoid relegation, (and cannot wait until the middle of next season when I finish defender training andmove onto PM).

On the friendly front I was lucky (very lucky) to beat Darth Pugwash in our last game, but alas think I will be slaughtered by Elsaak in this weeks match.

I lost 3-1 and am thus back in VI which is very disappointing.

It was unlucky because:

1) I missed out on safety by a point
2) In three or four games I lost points where I either should have won or at least drawn the match. The best example is the first match of the season.
3) The team that finished second dropped points against both my relegation rivals. Without those points I would have finished ahead of both of them.

Its disappointing since this will technically be my seventh hattrick season and I am back in VI which is basically the lowest level. Admittedly my first season was only half a season and I didn't start training properly until midway through season 3.

Promoted to div VI in Germany and won the title although I lost vs a much weaker team on last match.
In the league I probably go in, there is no weak team, but it looks like I can for place 3-6 or so. We'll see...

It was an excellent season for Pugwash FC! I made good progress on the training front, as well as meeting my pre-season goal of finishing 4th in the league.

I got a formidable (very high) wing attack in the last game, and hopefully it'll be up to brilliant next season if the training goes well, so thats looking good.

On the down side, my stadium is still tiny (only 8500 capacity), and my bank balance has been hovering at just over zero all season. But still, I shoud be rolling in it when I sell my trainees at the end of next season (2 million plus I would guess). So all in all its looking good. :D

@Iggy: You weren't lucky to beat me, it was a very even game. :)

I'm not so sure !!! my B-team is very weaker than to my A-team !

I lost my title, and will try again next season in my D6...

Ohoh, that sounds bad Tae.
Now I know why it was good for me, that I missed promotion once in league 8 and last season.
You promoted too fast, your team wasn't ready for league VI.
Better luck in league VII again!

This link should be helpful since it vaguely highlights how to set up your team:

http://wiki.hattrick.org/Training

Playmaking will probably be the best thing to train although you may find that you lose every game this season since you are not in the bottom American league.

Yeah, that will be tough next season, SoCalian.
I guess you will demote directly. But setup your team to be in a good shape for the season in league VI.
If you need any advice, just ask us...
Maybe www.civduelzone.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=65 is a better place to ask, we have a whole forum for Hattrick there...

I lost my first friendly 3-0. I have since put in bids for a new defender and striker.anyone wanna help me out in the money department by buying a youngster I have for sale?

Sorry, for that guy,you won't get any money.
Below inadequate in an A-Skill no one buys, and at inadequate normally only if he has some B-Skills (skills that are less important, but still count for a position)

A season lasts 16 weeks. If you want to have some fun, you can join the CDZ friendly cup, starting in the middle of the season.

Good luck with your team SoCalian. As socralynnek says the CDZ cup is a good way of oragnising friendlies when in starts mid season.

That player is utter rubbish and should be sacked. You could spend 1k and get a significantly better player. Also its against the rules for people to overbid on players for the purpose of helping out new teams.

As another point try not to spend your money on non trainee players as otherwise you will find yourself with more problems later.
