Hawk03-5CC Persian Astronauts

They have spices which we could make a colony on, and their borders are getting some of Antioch's tiles.

Gotcha.

I've played 3 turns, Germany has just declared war after I told them to get their troops out (They were sending an archer and a settler south through our territory). Shortly, I hope that Berlin will BURN!!!!

We ended the war becuase in 5CC, unless your objective is conquest, you generally want to keep the AI's alive. Weakened, but alive.

Otherwise powerful AI's destroy their neighbors, and if that neighbor is already weakened, they benefit less and less.

Finished, I am. My turnset, here it is.

To put it briefly, I made peace with England (I don't know why we were at war with them anyway), killed a bunch of German Archers without any casualties, accidentally allowed Carthage to build a city, and noticed that Greece is pwning England. They have 5 cities that were once English (Only 2 of which were captured in my set- the other 3 fell during Tasslehoff's and killerkid's), and London is isolated from the rest of their nation.

Pre-Turn (350 AD):
-I notice we’re still at war with England. I don’t see what we’re gaining from this, so I dial up Lizzie and collect 22 gold and her world map for peace.

IBT:
-Antioch gets a border expansion and absorbs the Ivory colony.
-England’s building the Great Library.

Turn 1 (360 AD):
Zzz

IBT:
-Germany moves an Archer and a settler into our territory.

Turn 2 (370 AD):
-Tell Germany to go away, they say they will (I hate not getting the Remove or Declare option sometimes…)

IBT:
-Warwick is suddenly Greek… Are Greece and England at war?

Turn 3 (380 AD):
-I build an embassy in London, and judging from the WW, England is definitely fighting Greece (and losing)
-Germany didn’t leave, so this time I tell them to get out or declare war. They choose the latter option, giving us War Happiness. :D
-I promptly send an Immortal to kill the Archer and get us two slaves. (1-0)

IBT:
-Persepolis: Courthouse->Immo
-Arbela: Rax->Immo
-The People build some stairs for our palace.

Turn 4 (390 AD):
-I leave a couple of workers undefended to bait the German army.

IBT:
-A few German archers take the bait.
-Carthage sez remove or declare, I guess our Leptis Magna’s borders expanded.

Turn 5 (400 AD):
-I shuffle some units around to keep the Carthaginians confined to one city.
-Near Antioch, I kill 5 German Archers with Immos and a horse. (6-0)
-Reduce Sci to 10, Chivalry still in 1. I also, taking note of WH, reduce lux to 10%, although I have to put Taxmen in Pasargadae and Susa. I also MM Susa and Arbela to max out shields and gold- they aren’t gonna grow without aqueducts.

IBT:
-My plan to keep Carthage small seems to have resulted in an epic phail, as I accidentally let them build a city.
-We get Chivalry, I set research to Invention, due in 15 at 60%, -1gpt.
-Persepolis: Immo->Knight

Turn 6 (410 AD):
The attack on Berlin will wait until the barracks in Antioch finishes so I can upgrade the Horse there to Knight.

IBT:
Zzz

Turn 7 (420 AD):
Zzz

IBT:
-Arbela: Immo->Cat (We need a few of these)
-Arbela: Rax->Immo, due to its low spt

Turn 8 (430 AD):
-Upgrade the Horse to a Knight. The army marches on Berlin next turn.

IBT:
Zzz

Turn 9 (440 AD):
-But first it takes care of a couple of intruding German Archers. (8-0)

IBT:
-Persepolis: Knight->Knight

Turn 10 (450 AD):
-My Mini-SOD moves one tile SW of Berlin.

To the next player, just keep building Cats, Knights, and Immos. Raze Berlin, Frankfurt, and Konigsberg so we can get those Spices. If you want to, get rid of Hamburg, too.

Persepolis Sun Tzu's- Leo's

Please clarify. Did you build Sun Tzu's with an MGL, or switch it to Leo's?

Okay, We can pretty much grab those spices now, do we want to get rid of Hamburg or just make peace with Germany now?

I got the save. Will play tomorrow.

Burn Hamburg, then make peace. With 2 other cities, Germany won't be extinct, just seriously weakened.

They have 4 other cities, but yeah, right idea.

We'll need to keep people away from settling near the spices. If we are having unit cost issues, we could use some slave workers and position them in a perimeter around the colony.
