Heirs to Heaven

Is there evidence for this?

The evidence is with Lord Protector and Regent Lucien de Tolles for safekeeping. But I think I speak for everyone when I say that there is no doubt in my mind that Lord Commander Balon Braxton is capable of stooping to this level.

He is an aggressive man, but I do not want to believe he is dishonorable scum. What our kingdom have become? If the evidence is true, I wish you luck on the apprehension of lord Balon.

Reminder that orders are due in roughly 24 hours. Late orders will be accepted, but I will not accept any offensive military orders or edits.

Well we see no point in hiding it now, so:

The Braxtons forced us into entering a union by marriage with them and they have been extorting us for our wealth, holding our dear Eleanore hostage to ensure our loyalties. We plead for your assistance not your judgement

Additionally we denounce House Braxton.

Is there also truth to the plot by House Braxton to invade Faulhamer under the pretense of a tourney?

In any case, with this development, House Mephisels must denounce House Braxton as well and aid the war against the bloodthirsty. Also we hope assistance will soon come to House Wychland against the Braxton offenders. We will help protect House Wychland from aggressors.

This is horrible news, for one's own daughter to be held ransom like that. This truly shows how low House Braxton has fallen. House Taran rescinds its declaration of war against House Wychen until this mess is sorted out.

EDIT: We recommend that Jacqueline D'upont Wychen cooperates fully with Alliance forces to prevent any unnecessary bloodshed.

House Braxton demanded what little manpower and war materials we had left shortly after they antagonized Faulhamer into a duel, so we believe this plot to be legitimate. They also demanded the ships in our merchant marine fleet.

We just want our heir and freedom back. We're a house of commerce, not war.

I will pray for the safety of your heir and daughter. GOD will see that she is safe and sound. House Braxton must pay for these evil acts.

Right, so I feel that I'm not quite interested in this game (not your fault really), and can't really follow all the politicking going on, not to mention that I feel like I should really just focus on my game entirely, so I think I'll quit. My house's up anyone else if they wanna join.

House Koriates

Rescinds its declaration of war against Wychen until investigation is complete.

Well Balon Braxton, looks like our tourney has been called off due to war. Consider yourself lucky. Some poor northman will probably kill you quickly in the chaos in battle, instead of half the Kingdom watching Leodric cave your skull in. House Faulhamer still has no interest in bloodshed, and we commend the Grand Alliance for taking punitive measures against these foul conspirators.

We also call into question House Wychen's claims of abuse and extortion. Wychen is likely the enabler of Braxton's massive army in the first place. How could they be threatened by House Braxton before the Braxtons had the army? Be wary my friends, I smell a rat.

Indeed. While we appreciate Lady Whychen for coming forward, we cannot ascertain if she is fully innocent from this plot. Lady Whychen, I am prepared to act in my capacity as regent to judge you, innocent or guilty, of the matter. If guilty, you will abdicate to your heir, and if innocent, you will be pardoned in your role in this matter.

If your claim that you were forced is true, we will he more than happy to welcome you into our halls once more.

I look forward to your acceptance and to your hopeful exoneration.

To Lord Braxton, I demand the immediate return of Lady Whychen'so daughter. Failure to comply with this demand will make it all the worse for you

It would be better if an assembly of houses will be the judges of the trial as not everyone, or even most, accept the regency or its power as judge of others. I will understand if the houses of the grand alliance will give their votes directly to de Tullies in such an assembly.

Also, they did not feel threatened by the Braxton military, but by the fact their heir is married to the lord Balon and apparently they threatened to harm her. In any case, Wychland have agreed to work with the rest of the kingdom on this and denounced the House of Braxton. I am certain their compliance will be complete and that the truth of the matter will be found soon.

I am more than happy to have any House to send a representative to the trial, if there is to be one. As this is a matter that the Grand Alliance will be taking on though, I hold the responsibility of whether or not we in the alliance will go to war, and therefore must ascertain for myself of her guilt or innocence.

Regardless, the truth will come out either way

How did they do this without the army you handed over? This does not add up, and the self proclaimed regent would be wise to see through this. Traitors and conspirators will throw one another away at the drop of a hat. House Wychen is just wiping it's hands clean of this scheme to destabilize the realm. Once the Braxtons have faced judgement for their transgressions, House Wychen will weasle it's way into some other controversy.

I understand. We shall send a representative to said trial if it happens than.

It saddens us that the great festival may be downgraded to a smaller festival because of the war. I still intend to build a great hall for future grand events in our kingdom. We still hope as many of you will come to our festival, our capital will certainly be at peace at all times, even if war does rise above.

We will support Faulhamer on the matter of the scheme that was to come against them.

We understand your scepticism, but plead not guilty all the same. We accept a trial under the regent's authority.

As for Faulhamer: We are a house of merchants. Our army is only equipped and trained for maintaining order within our territories. The Braxtons however, are renowned warriors that, even without our initial supply of goods (threatened from us), would easily have bestet our forces and would've caused unending chaos on our lands. We didn't call for help because we were already at odds with trying to assert our dominance in terms of trade lanes and thought Balon would at least be partially sane and not start purging anyone not zealous enough.

Very well then. We will make the arrangements for you to come to our isle. The Lord Protector himself will be your judge. If you have evidence of your own you would like to be considered, please send it via messenger for consideration.
