Great work, and a fun read. I especially enjoyed
North Khmerolina.
I think the major difference between our two games was the chopping of the first army. The only trees in my starting area remaining when I attacked Khmer were all way down by the fish (your Baltimore, I believe). My attack date was probably only 10 turns or so sooner than yours, but it snowballed to a 50 turn gap by the end. Hmm, I also realize now that my first GS went to an academy while yours went to bulbing math. I'm not really sure, but I probably caught-up a lot of the turns that you gained bulbing math by teching faster through masonry, construction, horseback riding, and currency. (I'm not even sure which is a stronger play, I'm just noting the difference, as otherwise we followed a very similar path. Bulbing Edu, war with Sury then GK, golden ages starting in the same era, etc.)
My chosen finish was cuirassiers, which will also allow for a faster war, though less efficient than cannons. WvO got annihilated, but I had a bit of a scare with stalin when he got grenadiers. Attacking grens in a 60% culture defense city with cuirs was rough. But really at that point it was just a case of building more.
Thanks for the map and your write-ups. I enjoyed it.
PS - I'm with Keilah, your image-heavy write-ups are awesome, but my download speed means the page takes quite a while to load. If you put each post into spoiler tags it helps us internet deficient folks!
