Hermetic lore for FFH DI4 (not for use outside this game)

Look at the main thread.
I made my changes.

I try to cover all your ideas, but might be that I omitted something.
I've got the feeling Dean's changes are not fully implemented (even though someone said he made your changes). I think there is no bounty hunter promos again.

Look at that and do changes if necessary. I'm too tired to look into again.

Be prudent! The save you post might be the one Verdian gets for a weekened! Test it before you post!!

Your changes are fine. The only reason I moved it was because it wasn't "deep" in the forest, more like right on the northern edge, i.e. 1 or 2 turns away. I didn't even notice that citadel was guarding a pass.

Next time I make a quest, I'll try and put it in an area that doesn't have anything built and hasn't been explored....that way, it shouldn't cause any more issues.

Not really.

So far, all that should have happened from my intervention is that his hero gets a net -20% strength penalty and crap healing (the net of Withered and Diseased), and gets a free bounty hunter promo. Past that, the AI got markets in their capitals.*

I agree, we have been doing little to injure Gerran. But the Angel of Rage has a plan for that. Upon adding Cael, I plan to start an uprising against him. The Enraged Cael will be held at his base to the south of New Grigoria, Enraged, Recruiter, and Aeron's Chosen* promotions will be given. From there a few more, Disciples of Cael will be added to their ranks, and then they will be let loose and attack an unit close enough.

*-Still not sure about that promotion.

If he wants his economy techs, he can nicely apologize to the God of Money and poney up the cash. Otherwise, what would I touch?

Don't give him Aeron's chosen until at least someone else gets it. Doesn't it just go to the first person? You don't want to screw over the Svartalfar, for example.

I haven't read all the new replies yet, so forgive me if I miss something. But... Mamoon has outlawed gambling. By accepting the Dwarf Quest, Gerran pleased me. So... Can I protect two or three adventurers from Mamoon by saying their "gamble" is outweighed by responsibility to their master? I have an ulterior motive, too: 1) I want the dwarves united, and the Grigori are an easy way to do this. 2) I want one more civ on my side. 3) I hate greediness, which Mamoon symbolizes.

What do you all say?

Next round of interventions, you're free to bless them as you see fit, without directly taking my changes away. You made your intervention earlier, and now I've made mine.

But I think you miss a point: I have not outlawed gambling. Gerran has. I am merely enforcing Gerran's own proclamation. In opposing me on this matter, you aren't opposing gambling, which I favor: you're facilitating it.

Of course, if some god takes off/removes my current intervention, I certainly can come up with something far, far worse, both for the player and for that god.

Ah, but you only outlawed ALL gambling in order to cause the Grigori to be "hungrier". Comon, we both know you aren't trying to help. :P

I didn't outlaw anything; Gerran did. I am only enforcing what he wanted. If he doesn't change his mind, he can live a peaceful, low-corruption, virtuous life, and will never see me meddle to increase corruption in his lands.

If he does, then he's coming to me on his own volition, not mine.

Regardless: only one group of interventions per round. You've already made yours.

Hello again my fellow gods. Just got back and am checking the newest save to make sure nothing has been missed before Verdian takes it. I am also writing up my introduction to the elvish war.

Apologises to Zacman i implemented the things you asked for first before you edited your posts. I was rushing by then and didn't check back. sorry again. Seems to have worked out better now then and the village is on the newest post. Whats your plans for after that? a spreading of winter or leading the people back to the illians etc?

Just to say that Finnegan does not seem to have to have the curse from Mammon. No diesed or cursed. Also neither the original warrior nor finnegan has the bounty hunter promotion (are they not going to be given that any more?)

Nice story with Paal and the mob! Very good. What about the pigs that the imp was on though? they seem to have disapeared. Is this a nerf because Verdian didn't respond to the imp quickly enough and it ate them all?

Alright. That needs to be fixed. COuld you do that?

To say it again, including what was supposed to go up first time:

Adventurer Finnigan gets Bounty Hunter, Withered, and Diseased.

Original warrior (possibly renamed) gets bounty hunter.

7 gold removed.

4 wolves around the capital. Promote as you wish.

Markets for each AI capital of neutral/evil leaders. Because I want to set the Hippus up as a major force, Calendar to them and one cash crop requiring plantations.

Can someone actually get those in, please?

no problem ravus_sol:)! im planing to have him have the Choose between allying them or not. Either way he will start a long qeust series.
Makeing them his enimies will end with him slaying auric with the godslayer, well aiding them will result in lots of divine aid from auric [when auric acends ill start playing as him, seeing as he's the new god of winter. id also like to start a new age of ice if he maneges to.]. is that ok with every one?:)

EDIT: OOPS! I turned the tile to water and then back to grassland and forgot to add the pigs

It's going to be extremely hard for you to play as Auric, since you can only interfere once every 50 turns. Auric is all but guaranteed to last one round if he ascends: either he dies, or he wins. Most likely he dies.

It seems that Dean and myself are at a direct confrontation. I don't take kindly to my Champion being messed with... Things may get more interesting from here on out.

Which god are you again?

Technically, I'm not in confrontation with any god at the moment. Gerran is. He's the one who's criminalized risk-taking-for-self-benefit, aka gambling. Not me.

i was thinking that when the illians compleate the draw the and have the right tech for acention i will give to them for free. That way i can move auric to the letum furgus and give him the held promotion so he dosn't get himself killed and there will be a more epic final battle:)

Even if you give them the tech for Acension, Auric is unlikely to be completed just as a round is ending. Ascension finishes, Auric spawns, and everyone is at war to kill him right away. Auric may well last a mere five turns before Godslayer finds him, and there's no guarantee whatsoever that you'll be able to move him somewhere appropriate.

Im not going to give them the tech. At the end of the round if he has the right tech to start the ritual ill give him auric for free:)

I think what Dean is trying to highlight is that a round lasts 50 turns. If they get the tech on the 1st turn they could complete the ritutual in the next 20 turns then have 30 or so turns to run rampents with the Acended Uric. You can't count on thinks happening as you plan them. Because the world is in flux and people make changes as they go then no plan will survive for long. You have to try and steer events. Give them a nudge here and there in the direction you want but it may never happen the way you want or plan for.

If you wish for something like this then you could use a different method then the ritual to creat the avatar.. perhaps you put Uric on the map as a mortal (the figure is in worldbuilder) and gift him with the Godslayer. Then Perhaps Uric has to kill someone or do something with it to recreate the god of winter in Erebus. And Uric petitions the Girgori for help. This way you bypass the computer having control of the time and place it more in the realms of human control.
