1. When playing your Hexette MiniMod.bix file, I selected the Egyptians and built a town with the settler in the opening position in 4000BC........BUT, the City Screen does not highlight the tile that the laborer is working?!
(Playing PTW 1.27)
2. I have C3C(U.S. version) but don't see Hexette anywhere on the cd?!
1. There's alot of graphic glitches with 16x16 maps. Nothing I can do about it, I'm afraid.
2. I do not have C3C yet, so I can't help you there; SolarFlare?
Speaking of C3C, when I get it, would there be interest in a Hexette biq? Crushing in half-a-dozen new resources does seem a bit OTT, and neither do I seem much place for Marshes or Volcanoes (each erruption would clear a continent), but perhaps there are other improvements one could achieve with the Conquests Editor.
I realize this post was less than totally helpful , but I do what I can!
I have to say well done, and an Extra: Um, You notice that with the very limited space, you also have very limited usage of the given terrain, as a result, I went over it, and you could have it Looking Identical to Earth, by placing a'map' into the graphic Sets, Especially with the New Civ3 Landmark terrians gives you another set to play with.. ,
Bane Star: Interesting idea, but I can't do it myself due to lacking graphics skills. If you'd want to do a such map based on Hexette, feel free! I'd love to see it, infact.
Ok, I have done 90% of it, had to change the south america mountains to non snow covoered to keep the graphic seperate, Um, the only problem is that there are still about 11 Sq of identical terrain, the left of australia appears again on the top left of Africa... Also the tundra tops of Russia and Canada are the same.... unless your cool with the underlying terrain BEING different to tundra there isn't much I can do until conquests and LMs.... I'll finish it up as is and post a screeny...
Um, Nope, cant do it as is... withou breaking the entire model as it is.... P.s. This is the ONLy world map I could find to actually use... surprising how many maps exists that have words or graphs all over them, and yet so little blank maps...
Finding useable maps in electronic format is an old "hobby" of mine. It's amazing how hard it is to find decent maps of the most well-known areas. Sigh.
Looks sweet. I havent actually tried to play it yet, but I would think that their might be some graphic issues owing to its small size. I suppose it would a bit hard to colonize Australia (Build a second city there), but one would need to in order to get aluminum. Be neat to try as a multiplayer game with friends.
