Yhea, it's a topic brushed upon in the Wild Mana modmod sub-forum. But I think it's something wrong with FFH.

In my current Calabim game, I am afraid of raising the AC counter BECAUSE I know I'm gonna get the short end of the stick as the evil dude. Now, I don't mind having my land wrecked a little because of armaggedon, but what, as an evil overlord, do I get in return for bringing down the Armaggedon?

None of the evil civs want armageddon except for the Sheaim, who in gameplay get direct bonuses for a high AC (more effective planar gates).

There's nothing wrong with the other evil civs getting screwed by armageddon.

Even moreso than the good civs?

I mean.. the good Civs could very well go and cause the armaggedon themselves just to screw over the evil civs, no?

Yes that's something I really hate about the AC Mechanics because the good civs are supposed to stop Armageddon and when they fail they get only half of the bad efffects. One half being the 4 riders plus avatar of wrath and the other one the hell terrain which they don't get.

I'm not sure if the 'Avatar of Wrath' bug was eradicated in the last patch. If not, a high AC is bad for ANYONE since the game often gets into a WoC!

A lot of people think a high AC is good or the Luchuirp since their goelms aren't killed by the apocalypse.

Best wishes,

Breunor

I'm quite convinced the Elohim should build the Prophecy of Ragnarok in every game and take control of the armageddon counter. Turn the world to hell and then save it.

What about the promotion that gives % combat bonus for AC? I actually don't know when or which units are eligible, or even if it is worth it, but it sounds like a powerful benefit to evil civs from AC.

I also like idea of ritual that gives peace with demons... like in Orbis. It is a huge boon for evil civs

I think that the whole idea of hell terrain was to light a fire under the evil civs that do not benefit from it and push them into going all out in hopes of a conquest victory before they are completely ruined by hell terrain.

Sheaim already get this (either on summoned units, or all units, I forget exactly), and it is useful. The Ashen Veil shrine also gives this to units.

Am not sure whether it should be spread to all units, but a less powerful version might be useful if possible.
