well, in my personal games with saladin i have reached a 'not challenged' level on prince. am stepping up the level. i think i'm ready for this game.

If you're looking for another player maybe I could get in touch with the 'dark side'. It would be odd playing pacifist one game and fanatical warmonger in another but variety is the life of spice.
Main problem I find with SGs is that there are times when for some reason I'm up for three on the same day, and then wait ages for my next turnsets.

First we get gold from native villagers then for 5 turns nothing on turn 9 hunting is compleated and started on Archery + Villagers give us a scout

I believe the phrase you are striving for is 'properly balanced'. Remember the Tao, light/dark, good/evil, earth/sky, male/female etc. Harmony is accepting duality.

Frankcor: in terms of 'competition' that's a thing of the past; you can't compare pacifist monarch to jihadist emperor. In terms of competing against the game parameters both games are a very long way from any kind of victory.

During the reign Our loyal scout stumbled upon Giving villagers and recived the tech Fishing..but he his attacked by a lion but he is Very vallient and strong and slays the lion and in Mecca our city of settlement a warriror who shall protect our glorius servents of alah/god and started on a barracks to give more training to the future of troops... when years passed another tech was founded Archery reserched by the Smart scientist of Mecca it was a gift of alah/god .. they started on another tech Mining... but then a Man-Eating Lion attacked our scout but the scout was given power by Alah/God to defeat the creature and so ends the reign of Death knight.............

Okay i also made it so when mining is done it will automaticly start on bronze working also im confinced that we are isolated on an island again :sigh: looks like we will be against loads of heathens who defy to see the true life of the Most holy one

My brother has sleep apnia and wears a Darth Vader mask at night. I make fun of him but better then losing all those brain cells. Just need the robe and light saber LOL

I wore the mask last night and had REM sleep for the first time in months! I wanted to take it home with me but they wrestled it away from me. I should have my own in a couple of weeks. I'll have to check with my insurance company on the robe and light saber.

I never got as far as the mask but I used to suffer from it bad too and I still do if I let my weight creep back up. I had my tonsils removed a few years ago and that helped a lot but then I gained probably 20lbs or more after that and started having trouble again. The doc told me losing weight would help tremendously and I figured he was nuts but I lost about ten lbs by the time they were ready to fit me with a mask. I started sleeping a lot better and now 6-8 hours is usually plenty. Of course, I stay up later playing Civ now so I'm still falling asleep at work

And yeah, yet another incentive for me to shed some more weight. I walked out of the center this morning with about 4 other patients. We looked like a Fat Old Guys club.

My brother is also a fairly heavy guy (strong as a bull though) I'm the little guy in the family. Geez I want one of those masks just so I can be Lord Vader... I know that's what I'll ask for Christmas. Frankcor use the dark side against them and they will release the mask.

So I'm done and a couple of obeservations:

A barracks was started but with the impending onslaught there was no need to start that but archers would be the way to go since unpromoted archers will do fine against barbs and get promoted that way. Also the city needed tweaking since it will only be happy at 4 so brought up production and got us a few archers. Barbs are starting to show up.

Xtream - Remember Emperor is a very tough level and we need to observe team input. We discussed this and archers were high on the priorty list. I can see a barracks but in this circumstance archers is more important. Also make sure that citizens are maximizing the tiles for our purpose and watch growth since it will be tricky until we a: get religion or b: get monarchy.

T1 - Tweak Mecca, wolf attacks warrior and he wins start archer queue barracks.
T2-T7 - zzzz Buddhism founded and we are definitely isolated again.
T8 - Discover mining start BW
T9-T16 zzzz Finish 2nd archer and start settler. (hold him until we have more archers please)

T17 - T20 Here come the barbs but we ready. We have two archers and a warrior which will hold out nicely.

Bronze working in 7 turns.

Long term strategy. We should think about at some time trying to build stonehenge to get a GP for theology meaning we should research every religious tech to get us there. meditation-->polytheism-->masonry-->Monotheism after this the GP will give us theology and hopefully we will discover Christianity. There is a site to the northwest that is ideal for a GP farm (lot of flood plains and wheat). We should consider settling there eventually to start a GP farm which imo is the only thing that will get us advancing quicker. My personal preference is scientist so we will need writing at some point.
