I'm just interested to know where everyone will be going this summer. I still have to make some exzams before I can start to enjoy the sunshine abroad, but I hope this topic will provide me with some holiday feeling in advance.

In july I'm going to Turkey with some friends. It's supposed to be *very* hot there (like 40-45 degrees celcius) and we won't have airconditioning!

So I'll be baked when we return there. In august I'll visit the czech republic for a week and then I'll be back just in time to go to groningen to Matrix' party (which equals going abroad too in a way

)

My job ends in a little over a month (which may mean LESS posting here!

), after that I plan to take some time off and me and a friend are planning on invading Central Europe sometime in August.

I just got back from a little weekend down in Moab. I went rock climbing YAY! I don't get another vacation untill the end of August. I'm going to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. A whole week of me chillin on the beach, eating seafood, and checkin' out the babes

...Then, the day after I get back, it's back to college

Mr.Len, you go to Maine from Australia?

It's a great vacation spot, but also a great place to live. I grew up there and most of family still lives there.

I have a friend who goes to Maine every summer. She has relatives there. According to them, Stephen King lives there, and he likes to walk around in the streets reading, so absorbed in whatever book he's reading that he doesn't even look up while he walks.

I doubt I'm going anywhere this summer. I'll go to Canada if I can, but I don't think I'll get the chance. I'll probably get to go to Japan in September, but of course that's not summer.

Funny you say that Loaf. I'll be leaving Japan in August to go (relatively) close to where you are now--Alberta, Canada.

Will you be working or studying or just traveling?

June 28th - July 3rd camping with friends is IJmuiden (hey, I'm just 15! So I can't go far)
July 7th - July 23rd Isl. of Ruegen (Germany)
August 10th - August 17th (?) to Stuttgart (Germany)

Next year? THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA(eastcoast; have been in the west in'97)!

I know it seem hard sometimes, but uh...
remember one thing:
through every dark night,
there's a bright day after that,
so no matter how hard it get, stick ya chest out
keep ya head up and handle it.

Well i'll probably go to dallas, and i have a friend that lives in New Zealand that has been wanting me to come down to visit for a while now, i'll have to go there sometime soon. Then i'm going to europe next summer.

Yeah he's a very public figure. Many King sightings, particularly in central Maine. My wife went to the same high school he went to (Lisbon)....

Can't really afford much. Last year we went camping and toured around Zeeland. This year we've been invited to officiate at the wedding of a couple of friends in Frankfurt, so we're saving our days. I'd like to spend a long time tramping round Scandinavia, but that'll have to wait.

I do not go on holidays, nor condone them. They are a frivolous and ungodly waste of time that could be devoted to hard labour, evensong, and turnip carving.

Hey Willem: If you'll be in New York City let me know. Of course, since you'll be 16 I won't be able to take you around to any bars or anything like that. Then again, it never stopped me when I was 16.

I just got done with my honeymoon cruise where we stopped at Labadee, Haiti; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; and Cozumel Mexico. That was a blast.

Unfortunately, my business has me travelling quite a bit, so when I have time off I like to stay home and relax some.

Studying. It's a two-week program during which I will, if I get to go, be immersed in the language to help my studies, and touring places like temples and factories and so on. I believe I would be mainly in Osaka, but I'm not certain.

I've qualified to go, by the way--I've passed the language competence test, filled out all my paperwork, had the check up to prove I have no medical problems, and all of that. I just haven't been accepted yet. I was told they'd let me know as soon as they find out, but I'm still waiting.
