Unfortunately my friend, there is no way of knowing short of putting your neck on the line.

true very very true....

They're a strange species that, rather than actually let you know where you stand, would rather watch you grapple with the unknown and chase.

true very very true....but the chase is the most fun ;) come on now us girls aren't that hard to figure out! You just have to know what to look for :goodjob:

Word to the wise... DO NOT TRY TO BE HER FRIEND. If you do this, she will look at you like a little brother. As soon as you go the 'friend' angle, you lose. Males and females cannot be 'friends'.

Ahhhh, well some "girls" are like that, some are not. I was not one of those girls. In fact I rather liked being able to actually talk to my boyfriend. I liked being friends as well as lov.....errrrr.....the physical ;) In fact, my husband is my best friend, and it's work well for us for 15 years, so it can't be all that bad. But, sadly, you are right, some "girls" do use that "friend" angle the way you said :(

There is so much more than the "physical" in a meaningful relationship!

IMO....The majority of high school girls (and guys for that matter) don't bother much with "love", or even "like" for that matter, its more of a "image" thing. I remember friends of mine who liked the personality of a person but because he didn't 'look a certain way they refused to go out with him.

Sad, but true stereotype. I've learned this sort of stuff the hard way.

No, thats not right. Befriend her, but dont hang around her all the time and she'll see your got your group of pals and arent some clingy dork. Do stuff to her that seems mean, but all girls know the intent (poking, playful kick)

Do you mean in general, or if you want to go out with them?

One of my best friends is female (and other close friends), but it's not as if I'm interested in her (or the others) as a girlfriend.
