exacly how, didn the star stuff floting around our newly formed sun gather up in balls to form planits??
i understand after thay came together, but how did thay first start?? was it just a bunch of rocks floting around that started to gather to form up a huge planet?? and hears something eals, once the planet started forming, how did volcanic activity start up? was it just crashed into my a huge asteroied that started blowing it up and kick started it all, or just the extream heat that melted the core?

hears one more, how did stuff as losse as gas come together to form a gas giant?? y didnt the gass just flot off befor it started forming? what brought the lose gass floring around in space together to make a planet?

from how i understand it, the moon was made when earth was still covered with an ocen of lava and magma, about 20 milles thick.
then an asteroied, about the size of mars crashed into the earth, blasting the entire surfice into space. a huge chucnk and many smaller ones florting around earth all came together into a big lump, makeing the moon.

right? :P

No, the moon was formed after the Earth had already cooled and most of the elements had sorted themselves out by density. Then the Earth was hit by a Mars sized body and part of the crust was riped off which later formed the moon. That is why the density of the moon is almost exactly the same as the Earth's crust and why the moon is so lacking in heavier elements.

if something that big hit the earth, y didnt it throw the earth out of orbit?
or y isnt the earth lop sided or flater on one side whear it was hit?

exacly how was water formed? i seem to get the idea that mostier condinced in the air as clouds that covered nearly all land, then it started raining for years and years and years and years untill it finaly stoped and the ocens formed.

Let's see if I can give a summary:

There was a huge disc-shaped rotating blob of gas/dust. Some of it piled together at the center, forming the Sun. Other lumps further out began to attract the nearby piles of dust to themselves, thus forming planets, which kept growing bigger as their gravity kept attracting more gas.

The reason that the Earth isn't flat or lopsided after being hit that way is the same reason that the sea doesn't stay lopsided when you throw a huge rock into it - gravity will pull it more or less flat again.

Gravity is the glue that holds and coagulates the solar system, stuff starts accreting because of gravity. Hydrogen is the stuff that worlds are formed. At higher energy lvl, hydrogen is converted to iron, nickel and other elements, or at least that was the gist of what i learnt.

i just dont see how lose gasses, floting around in space can flot into large enofe of a clump to acaly creat strong gravity.
im not asking about the sun, im talking about gas giants.

It's a self-accelerating process - as soon as there is a lump of gas or a rock with higher density and gravity than the surrounds, the gas around it will be attracted to it. It happens bit by bit.

Where is your proof of that, because there is no evidence that says that.

It sounds like you're asking me to prove gravity. Kindly clarify your request for "proof".

sounds like that to me too!

Ohhh, i really want to see how he is going to prove this one. hehe

actually, I've learned that massive ice comets with gallons and gallons of water on them passed by earth and the water just fell off. after a lot of these comets passed by earth the water formed oceans and other bodies of water.

of course i don't know how the water on the comets was formed. ;)

I really want to see what you're on about, and who you're talking to.
