It really is addictive, isn't it? I said to myself I wasn't going to play last nite, but, once the kids had gone to bed completely (around 9:00 pm) and my wife informed me that she was beat and also going straight to bed, I was stuck in a quandry.
I had no intention of going to bed early. There was nothing on television that I was particularly interested in. I wasn't in possession of a new, good book that I wanted to read. I had no work from the office with me that required attention. So, what was I to do?
I sat down at my computer in my office and the next thing I know it's 2:30 a.m. and I am saying to myself " I gotta go to bed if I want to be able to get up in the morning and go to work!" The only positive thing is that I am a smoker and I never once got up during that 5 hour stretch to go outside and have a cigarette (I won't smoke in my house)! At least Civ 4 is helping me quit one bad habit!
Goodness, I sometimes hate having an obsessive-compulsive personality! That and turn-based games just don't mix well!
