We all must have some, however vague, mental image of eachother... this thread is for people who OK it to have other posters tell them how they picture eachother...

now we all know without some restraint this thread will get closed, so use your cop on. go ahead with me.

I already know how posters feel about me on personality. They also seem to have a certain mental physical image of me as a extremely pale, weak, geek with little hair (like a really bad buzz cut). Ick. No offense to extremely pale, weak, geeks with horrible, short buzz cuts.

As for you, I think you misjudge people's beliefs and viewpoints sometimes, based upon grouping. Work on that and discussions with others should go more smoothly.

It's certainly very cool that you try to get your viewpint out there, even if it is something harshly judged.

I'm in.

  • Zarn: The penguin "Noah" from Happy Feet. Not meant in a bad way, I liked the ol' bird.
  • Phlegmak: Totally unfair, but the phlegm boy screen saver that AfterDark had for Win 3.1. Sorry :(
  • RRW: Eugene Debs
  • Mirc: Mic Fleetwood, but younger and with a guitar instead of drums. Don't ask me why, I don't know.

I think of Mirc with floppy brown hair and high cheekbones. RRW is still a grumpy pipe-smoking gentleman, along the lines of that old priest that I saw when once I watched an episode of Father Ted.
VRWCAgent I always imagine as one of these loud fathers trying to keep children in line in the shops who you notice more from their voice and children than how they look.

Picture me, if you want. I never mind.

I'm okay with being pictured. :D

Hm, Messy Brown hair that is kinda bowl-shaped, like one of the Beetles, but with one end of the fringe touching just a little bit under the eye. Piercing blue eyes. Holding a violin. You like grey shirts.

Im okay with being pictured

Red Wiggum. Always saw you as an army general with bright red hair and a full beard. But I think its because of your avatar

Ralph, to me, is a sozzled Irish tramp in a brown hat who can only remember his CFC password after 8 pints of Guinness.

(Note: not 'tramp' as in 'promiscuous woman' because that would just be weird)

Zarn is a massive glowing archangel with a flaming sword of righteousness.

Brighteye is like an accountant swamped by work, who keeps getting bothered by annoying colleagues (i.e. the rest of us). I imagine that he refreshes OT and grimaces with annoyance at all the new posts he now has to read.

I'm in, by the way.

Isn't this kind of like the alternative members photos thread? Well anyways I would picture RRW as the guy who's putting up those marxist posters that are all over Dublin nowadays. Seriously they're everywhere.

RRW is still a grumpy pipe-smoking gentleman, along the lines of that old priest that I saw when once I watched an episode of Father Ted.

Shame on you only watching one episode of Father Ted!

Picture me if yoy want guys.

I find that I am definitely influenced by people’s avatars if they have an image or picture of a person. When I see an actual picture of them it takes me a little while to get the old imagined image out of my head and put the real image in.

RRW: Until I saw your picture, I imagined you as much older (middle age) and heavy set. I blame your avatar for that!

EDIT: I also get a mental image of some posters’ age by how mature, reasonable, or informed their posting is. I am then shocked to find that they are 17 or something and not even out of high school!

What? I picture you as a striding god of a man. An hispanic storm god.

Go ahead and visualize me. More than one person told me they imagined me as a person from the South.
