How is your EU3 Game going?

Attack lorraine or creek.

You must have a core province to b e able to build a unit there.

Oh okay, so I'll be able to build one there in 50 years? Oh and I need a new ally (now that Norway is dead). I'm going to try for Burgundy, but do you guys thing of someone else. And another question, how can you become part of the countries that can become HRE?

I can try Spain, but Austria is -200 for me.

Anyone have an alternate link to the Rising Nations (1.3) mod? The link from the EU3 forum site is slow (33kbps!) and fails mid-way through the download. I'm getting tired of looking at the Permenant Terra Incognita that I can't do anything with.

You need your capital to be part of the HRE (check the Imperial map mode). Are you playing In Nomine? If so you can have your provinces join the Holy Roman Empire one by one with a provincial decision until your capital joins if your relationship with the current Emperor is high.

If you're playing NA or Vanilla you'll need to wait for a random event IIRC. You still need to have high relations with the Emperor for it to fire.

It might be a good idea to attack Creek or one of the African or American nations if you can spare a few thousand cavalry. They are usually very rich and you can get often get 2500 ducats from them with 100% war score.

I became part of the HRE... with cheats. :mischief: I then (without cheats) conquered Creek and Shawnee. I finally made it to 1500!!! I have not become HRE though, so I'm waiting for that. To be elected do you have to have the most electors be in your favor or is it randomly selected like the papal?

You need to have the most elector votes. This typically requires high relations (+200) with the electors, low reputation, high stability, high prestige, etc, etc. However, you can also simply attack and vassalize the electors, in which case they'd almost always vote for you unless you have negative relations with them.

Well I have 4 of the 7 right not, with relations being from 36-200. But I am one of the electors.

:woohoo: Can't wait for the 1400% local manpower modifier.

Oh and the natives in America only had 50 ducats, that's no where near 2500, or was that just for Africa.

Oh and another thing, I have 19,000 troops to refil before full strength and that number isn't going any where. Does it matter I have about 10,000 in the new world?

I need a little more explanation of what your talking about.

I recently took 2500 ducats from each of the Iroquios, Aztec and Inca in my French game. Maybe someone else got to them first?

What Love said. Check if you putting too many troops in one province.

I did at one time I had like 50,000 and then 30,000 died and I've never been able to recover, past 17,000. And I just attacked Creek and Shawnee, are they not as rich? And do the Aztecs, Incas, ect have forts where I have to siege or is it just a take over like creek and Shawnee?

Okay should be easy. I think I may be done conquering Europe for right now, see if I can' control all of the USA. Provence may live another day. Have any of you tried multiplayer?

I've gotten bored with my HRE game. Combined forces of revolts, building stuff, and managing the economy have made my game unbearable. Plus, there just isn't any challenge any more.

Who should I play as next (preferably someone who isn't in Germany, as my last two games took place there)?

Play as Japan and colonize California like I did.
