How is your EU3 Game going?

Yeah, I forgot to build it up :p

I started building armies for real when spain broke my alliance. Had to build up the fleet early to crush GB.

Yeah, though you have some catching up to do. Just playing tonight, my army size skyrocketed from a mere 500,000 to 760,000 men. Here, I'll treat you guys with a map of my empire :D (this is fresh off a war with Russia too).

It's the year 1617 btw.

Now, due to the odd color choice for the HRE it's almost impossible to spot some parts of my empire.

Though you can always give it a shot, try and spot all of my colonies. :goodjob:

Here's a screenshot of the British Isles, Balkanized.

After the French inflicted a disastrous defeat on the English, liberating the people of Cornwall, Wales and Connaught in the process, rebellions sprang up throughout the land. The leader of the rebels eventually crowned himself King of Lancester, and ended up controlling all of England except for London (still under the English crown) and Lincolnshire (seized by Scotland in the confusion). The seizure of London by Lancester prompted a French intervention, which seized the south coastal provinces of England as well as London. Soon after a truce was signed, the French attacked again, this time taking advantage of the fact that both Lancester and England has guaranteed the excommunicated ruler of Wales. This short offensive handed all of southern England to France. A concurrent war with Scotland led to the independence of Northumberland. The English Crown, after attempting to unite Ireland by attacking Leinster, finished the war as a vassal of France.

I loaded up as England after this. They still keep their navy (28 carracks + more galleys and transports) which is killing their economy. The minting slider is set almost to full, and even so they're losing 2000+ ducats a year. The appearance of an "England has gone bankrupt" message box is pretty much an annual occurrence.

Holy crap! Time to conquer scandinavia or portugal? :D

I now need a huge army to also beat down rebels... When you have bad reputation you get rebel sentients everywhere. I just need an about 100 men bigger army than spain or russia.

Holy crap! Time to conquer scandinavia or portugal? :D

Nah, not yet. I have a whole list of people I need to conquer. But first, of course, comes the housekeeping (i.e. to make my border prettier). Which means my next targets are Ukrain, Pskov (my vassal), Prussia, Friesland, and Russia. Then will come the minor powers, so GB. Naples, and Byzantium. Then it will go on from there (I can't decide who atm).

after war with russia.

They were easy to break, they had they greatest armies down in persia, so i had time to conquer alot of lands. They made peace with persia, taking most of their provinces and got their largest army (about 27 000, most of their units was spread around in 9 000 men armies, very easy to break with my 7 25,000 men armies) to finland, where it almost oblitirated my army, weakened by fortress invadings which I got on a boat to sweden and traded it against my rebel-bashing 25 000 men army. It vaporized the russian army. And russia was still under muron, so after taking murons capital, I had a 100% victory and picked as many provinces I could. giving 84 more infamy points

with an infamy of 180 I had given up the plan of getting it back to zero. The only drawback of having this high infamy is the rebels, with that freaking event popping up, giving 15% more rebel chance.

So, when my war weariness is back at zero I will attack muscowy again. This time it will be easier, and I need more men in my homeland bashing rebels heads. I will solve that problem with creating more, a bit smaller armies (15 000) and place them strategically around my country.

That's my plan. When I have conquered muscowy (2-3 more wars) I will prepare the world war, the war against spain. It will be pretty easy, given Spains wide-spread provinces. With a good army placement, in egypt, navarra, turkey and manhattan, I will take their european provinces with ease.

A few questions. 1. Is that Portugal with all of those colonies? What is that green up way north? It looks to light to be Portugal.

Does anyone find it odd that sending a colonist to make a colony's population 1,000 that all of a sudden like 5,000 people show up?

BTW I started another game (yeah I know I can't stick with on very long) as Japan and I now own part of North America.

Another BTW: I need some help for my AAR. Come on guys.

Yes, that's Portugal on it's usual berserk colonialism.

Oh, and up north that's Leinster's colonies, from the old emerald isle :goodjob:

Whoa, really? Go Leinster!

I never expected them to get any, so it's a whoa from me. ;)

Man even after a couple weeks I can't get past the year 1500. What is the start year again?

Holland, soon to become the Netherlands. I have Calais (Burgundy took from England), Artois, all of the Netherlands and Belgium, Oldenburg, and Luxembourg.

Brunswick (an elector) is my vassal, and I am preparing to colonize the world and balkanize France.

Spain was extremely easy to break. Their navy and army was scattered around their colonies and my technology is very superior. Got 99 war score, with 19 war exhaustion. :D

Cleared europe from spain. Took some colonies in the US and in turkey.

Anyway see that brown thing in arabia?

That's muscowy. They are going to get pwned again.

I have to say, I don't like building unrealistically gigantic empire, that's why I play Magna Mundi, with a few house rules

Well, in my game as France, Norway is dead thanks, to me loosing all of my cogs against England. Now, who next? England, Lorraine, Creek, or Sweden. I have my colony to the point where I can't send anymore people to it, but when can I build units?

Attack lorraine or creek.

You must have a core province to b e able to build a unit there.
