How is your EU3 Game going?

Ah. So Austria/Bohemia become emperor and subsequently get murdered then?

For a little more clarity on what happened during our game:

The beginning started with me attacking Dutch minors to get missions done. Soon cascading alliances pitted me against more of the major powers of Europe. But they sent armies in one by one, so it wasn't as bad as one might think. After winning those wars I was in possession of most of my dutch territories I posses now. And England got Jylland or whatever.

Right after those wars, me and Lucky fought France. Me and the French slugged it out a lot, and Lucky bailed me out at the epic battle of Cambray. After that France's fate was sealed. Armies were stomped, and England gained Normandy. And somewhere after that Sicily got it's navy raped and Ireland became a massive battlefield. Those details aren't really fresh in my mind :p

Eventually Owen manned up and began to rebel against Denmark (which was horrible mauled repeatedly). Most of Norway was taken by Sweden and England (Lucky generously giving away his portions). Celebratory French bashing occurred, with Lucky giving me some provinces that we had won.

This is where everything hit the fan. Sweden got hit with tons of rebellions, and Owen managed to try and drag me and England into wars with most of Europe, which raped our prestige. My infamy was slowly climbing due to unlawful imperial territory, and Lucky had simply reach far passes his limit. Huge rebellions ripped through England, and Lucky granted independence to a lot of his country and gave a few continental provinces to me.

But now things are on the upswing. I have a beastly king that's knocking my infamy down. Lucky is under the infamy limit I think. And Owen has managed to come out on top against Europe and the rebels.

Yep, I saw Ansbach rise up in my Japan game too (The event is that if someone takes a region that is part of the HRE they get an event where they either refuse to give it back to the emperor (which then counts as unlawful imperial territory unless they have a core and increases infamy if they refuse) . As the Emperor they rarely refused me and I also don't get a special notification, I kept finding out I had new lands when i scrolled over the map (in my Netherlands game). Very annoying, and the AI cant handle it, the Emperor is supposed to return it to whoever has a core on it, but the AI doesn't and racks up the BadBoy points.

Yes. In the beginning I was kinda stuck, because Sweden starts out in a PU with Denmark, and basically can't do anything. You can't break the PU unless Denmark is out of war. So what happened is Denmark started out in war with Burgundy, so I had to wait until that finished. Lucky took advantage of the situation to essentially destroy Denmark. As soon as that war ended, Scotland declared war on Norway (and subsequently Denmark) for control of the Orkneys. Scotland came in and destroyed Norway and Denmark again after a war lasting a good 4 years. It was around this time that Lucky decided to gift me Jylland, which he had acquired from Denmark following his war with them. Immediately after Scotland peaced out (taking the Orkneys and Fyn with him), I believe it was the Hansa, or someone like that who immediately declared war on Denmark (along witha number of other German minors). For the first time I actually helped my overlords out, using my now substantial armies to keep the enemy out of Jylland (and subsequently the rest of Denmark) Finally Denmark got a white peace out of the deal, and I was finally free to declare independence. With the help of England, I annihilated Denmark, annexing them in the process.

The next few years were one of me getting dragged into various English and Burgundian wars while I struggled under crippling debt and rebellion. I managed to pull through, though, right around the time that England started collapsing and Burgundy was crushed under infamy. My boredom, and desire to possess the Baltic plunged me into a war with Bavaria, who, unbeknownst to me, was the Papal Controller at the time. What resulted was me losing nearly all of my armies in Bavaria to attrition, followed immediately by cascading Excomm wars. At one point I was simultaneously at war with:

Novgorod, Muscovy, The Order, Lithuania, Poland, Riga, Pomerania, Brandeburg, Hungary, Austria, Bavaria, Aquileia, Montenegro, The Hansa, Holstein, Norway, and 2 or 3 other German Minors, and possibly Aragon, I can't remember.

After a good 7 or 8 years of war I managed to secure peace with all the major powers, while also beating down all the minor ones. Now I'm finally out of the wars, and sitting around waiting for a CB so I can finally annex what's left of Norway.

More eastward expansion, as well as more meddling in the Middle East. Completely conquered the Ottomans, as well as vassalazing a lot of countries, several of them were diplovassalized, not through warfare. Most of my wars were against Persia, while Lithuania also tried and failed to reconquer some land with the help of Ukraine.

Red - Vassals (Finland, Zaporozhie, Crimea, Transylvania, Wallachia, Trebizond, Candar, Ramazan, Karaman, Cyprus, Morea, Syria, Jalayrids, Iraq, Yemen, Najd, Timurids, Kazakh)
Blue - Allies (Bulgaria, Saruhan)
Light green - Sphere of influence (Riga, Prussia, Ukraine, Byzantium, Khiva, Mentese)

Syria and Iraq are Orthodox vassals. I plan on turning the Middle East into a series of Orthodox vassals of decent sizes, so I'm going to be reinvading the Turkish vassals and Jalayrids in the future and converting the provinces, then releaseing them into larger vassals. Iraq will take over the Jalayrid land, while I will make an Ottoman vassal that covers Turkey.

Your green is still yellow according to my eyes ;), I like the fact that the orthodox christians are doing a better job of crusading the muslim countries then the catholics have ever done/will ever do.

Wanna see a fun England? Muslim Welsh? It's going down. In fact I might just load up as Morocco, release Wales and conquer England as the Welsh Emirate....

Also note Acheia and Bavaria, who are totally beasting it up down there.

Would you say this is shorter or longer than you'd take to play to the same point in single player?
Much longer then SP, you could play 100 years in 2-3hours. MP is usually played at speed 3 the whole time.

Thanks. I'm trying to sort of poll on this topic because it'd give me a better idea of how people actually play this game. Like I've said many times in various threads on Paradox games, while I understand most of their games well, I have a hard time pacing myself when I play them. Personally, I have a hard time dealing with lull times, as if there must always be something that needs to be done and I must be doing something wrong if I'm just zipping by 5-10 years.
