How is your EU3 Game going?

You can still conquer France as the UK. :P

If I remember right, there's a mission where you have to capture Ile de France, which gives you cores on it, Vermandois, and Valenciennes or something. Anyway, it's huge because having a core on Ile de France grants you unlimited wars with France as long as you're making progress.

It does usually take a while for the UK to form, i.e. getting a core on Edinburgh. In fifty years you can definitely whittle down France into a vassal state.

Occupy Paris. It can be given out if you're at war with France, not already occupying Paris, and the year is before 1475. Gives cores on pretty much the entire northern half of France.

Most overpowered mission in the game when you can pull it off.

Single mission I meant.

In my latest game, England and myself, as Portugal, have ensured that France doesn't get to become any power house at all... but Poland became one.

Well thanks to Nintz' advice about declaring war on all of the Irish provinces simultaneously (this honestly never occurred to me before) I managed to successfully conquer Ireland on my latest game. Not really sure what to do now though. I've got no Casus Belli on Scotland yet so I can't finish conquering the island. I've got a Casus Belli to annex Normandie, Ile de France, and Caux, but France has a billion allies and a large army so I don't like my chances. I guess I can enjoy a couple of years of peace time to build up my forces and hope an excuse to attack someone I can actually take comes along.

I played on as Prussia a bit further and Russia has just imploded for no apparent reason. Up till recently they had united all the Golden Horde lands into their empire and according to the stats they had 100k troops but couldn't deal with a few rebellions. As far as I'm aware they weren't at war with anyone major as I had no intention of fighting them so its slightly disappointing that they collapsed. Denmark had conquered a similar amount of territory earlier in the game and lost it all although at least in that case they were at war with a few other nations and had more distance issues.

Also I don't think its great that a colonial rebellion in another country can grab so many of my provinces (3) and pick one of them as their capital. Is it possible to remove the cores before they gain independance or is the only solution to get military access and wipe out the rebels for enemy nations that can't do it themselves? The USA rebels were wiped out reasonably quickly.

I am Italy, in the year 1636. Quite an interesting game, I started as Milan and gobbled up italy almost immediately. I have a massive population, eight centers of trade, and lots of room to expand. My goals are to take over the rest of Africa (That other europeans havn't), Arabia, ottomons, india, Sicily, sardinia, and corsica.
As you can see, sweden and bohemia have become massive. Sweden could also colonize siberia if it wanted too.

I'll call your Milan-->Italian colonial power, and add in a large chunk of the world :p
Pics as promised-

Pics 4 & 5 have Japan in Africa (they used to have the SW corner of the Middle East). Pics 5 & 6 have Ming occupying the Swahili capital. Oh, and Persia is in #6 in South Africa.
Still, yours is quite impressive. :goodjob:

Thanks, Just played a game of Burgandy, got a personal union with england immediatly followed by a war with france, which i destroyed and broke into tiny pieces, which I eventually conquered, and I have just integrated england into my nation. Heres the map, the year is only 1482.

Oh and epic italy, with Bohemia being so powerful I could never take the balkans like you did.

My game... isn't going, because despite uninstalling everything awhile ago, I cannot reinstall In Nomine. There's a registry key or something that causes my computer to think it's installed and won't let me run the installer.

It's weird because it doesn't show up my programs list to uninstall or remove, so I don't know how to fix it.

Looks like you are going to have to use Regedit.

I poked around there last night, but I couldn't find an obvious Paradox Interactive folder with their keys in them. It'll be a challenge.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis III ? There's also a blank 3.00.0.0 folder within it, which, while empty, may be significant just in its existence.

(Note the above is from my 64-bit machine; it'll probably be similar but without the Wow6432Node part if you have a 32-bit OS. Also, mine is from a Gamersgate EU3 Chronicles installation; yours may vary slightly)

Checked and there's no dice. My other Paradox games are on Steam and I have my HoI3 and V2 keys there, but not the CK2 key (strangely). My EU3 copy is a file of old school installers, though. So it should be there too? Or not, as it turns out...

Thanks for the help, though, there are a lot of folders there and it's probably in one of the other ones. Just have to sit down one weekend and search for it.
