658 hrs - I don't believe for a second I've played even close to that much, I'm almost certain it's messed up somehow, but oh well. It would mean that I've spent over 12% of my time playing this game since release, which is absolute rubbish. And I am no 'master' at civ 5.

mine's now a little higher than this, and i know there's no mistake i've watched it rise and rise lol

its the game's power over me - fortunately im outta the country when the expansion comes out - maybe when i come back i'll try avoid the "Hopelessly Addicted" count

832, but I have left the game idle for many hours. It's probably more like 500 for gameplay.

I do not leave it running idle. I run Boinc. Always close it down when not playing. 1500+ hours.

Just broke 2000 hours! Less played since 3 months but managed to reach 2000 hours before G&K :)

I also broke 2000 hours, BUT I tend to leave games running when I am afk so I have actually played much less. Still a lot though!

377h

that's pretty much nothing compared to Civ4 or Civ3....nothing at all I'm afraid.

I finally surpassed the 1000 hour mark as of last week. Not ashamed one bit :) Still learning tons with every play. There are just too many variables to test...

This, of course, doesn't include the 1500 hours in Civ5 ModBuddy.

I've spent over 20 hours on the demo. I have a slow computer that is lucky to run Civ5 at all, so I'll take it.

224 for me.

2028

What I am really interested in is not how much of that is idle time, but how much is in-between-turn time. I don't mind the game waiting for me to respond. :)

You have to take those Hours "Played" numbers with a grain of salt.

Is this even possible?! (Yes, but it's not really accurate).

I was at 8 hours for several months after the game's release. I hated the game when it first came out. I still hate 1 upt, but I've learned to deal with it. Lately, I've been playing more, and surpassed the 200 hour mark. Still no where near the 500 hours I have playing Fallout: New Vegas (my favorite computer game of all time). By comparison I only have 120 hours on Skyrim.

Just checked, and it's at 211 hours. Some of that may be idle times. I'll just leave the game running often when I go cook some food or whatever. But I do that for other games too sometimes, so it averages out.
