Let me go off topic just a bit - why does one, then, become a moderator? It's obvious all of you guys go through a hell of a lot of **** when it comes to this thankless job, and that you spend an inordinate amount of time on this forum because of it.
I had had a lot of 'fun' over the years at CFC - just want to give something back... And to help TF...

Of course, the real reason is to seize control of my favourite World History forum... :smug:

Whatever happened to stelle convertor? When you look back, he posted a lot, but he never had a registered name? Or was there some glitch in the system?

TF should add this question to the FAQ, so people can restrain from asking it every month.

His account got deleted. THrough all my searches through this forum I have yet to come upon why. I know he was de-modded for insulting a poster but after that things get fuzzy as to what happened. :crazyeye:

I have heard in previous "Moderator question threads" like this one always have people saying...

"If you ask to be a mod, you will never be a mod"

Thats just because the people who ask are often spamming and aren't really likely to be moderators anyway...

Maybe we should have a thread for the history of CFC. I saw one a while ago but I can't find it. That would answer a lot of the questions we have on former mods.

From what I see most mods are people who do not spam and do not ask to be mods. A lot of them became mods since they were in the Democracy game or helped people in the other forums.

There might be a reason why you don't see it anymore. ;)
They obviously focus on specifc posters (which is against the rules) typically turn into bashing threads.

Among the Colosseum moderators, I, Duke of Marlbrough, eyrei, and col, have each been accused by various some chastised posters as being commie scum and others as being radical right wingers. The crew tries not only to keep what politics they have out of moderation, but also to limit their involvement as posters in controvesial threads. This is fairly easy for me, because you pitiful mortals are not worthy of my wisdom. :king:
