I'm in the process of making a quiz on the web on current events and the historic/geographic background behind them. It's far from finished (especially the layout, which is plain ugly right now), but it already works rather well.
It takes the form of a MCQ test with twenty questions taken at random from my question list (which currently holds 50 questions).
Once you have tried it, you can propose new questions (there's a link to the form on the homepage).
Here is the site: http://kstudio.net/quiz/

Thanks for any feedbacks and/or new questions!

I cannot take this quiz as I have not been to this/these countries thus nullifying any opinion I may have.

Because, as a political test, it is quite relevant to the OT forum? If I had not stated that I had made the test, you would not even have asked.

That said, I am aware that an admin may choose to close it or even erase it, especially if too many people complains. We shall see.

My result: 15 right answers out of 20. Good enough, what I didn't know was unimportant :P

Excellent point, quite relevant.

I may have noticed the URL was identical to the one in your sig.

Another excellent point. Spam decisions are the moderators responsibility, not my place...

Question 3 - Who is Joseph Kabila? - is slightly easy and Question 6 - Which two countries are responsible for the training of the new Afghan army? - is your classic trick question. Apart from that a very reasonable attempt at a political quiz.

Thanks, Clipot.

MrPresident, the difficulty of the questions is indeed varied, because I do not have enough questions right now to make tests of different levels (I will at least split it in two soon).
A few of the questions were proposed with the explicit intention of scoring political points. The "Afghan Army" one was added by me as part of my campaign to rebuild Franco-American relations all by myself ;) , the one on the second round of the last French presidential election by Pillager as part of his French-bashing campaign :( We will try to keep them down to a minimum though. One from time to time from different political sides spice things up, too many of them would ruin the quiz.
As for the question numbers, no point quoting them - they are random.

15/20... I'm disappointed with myself, as I made some stupid mistakes.

Interesting test. Good job, Kinniken!

It's not bad, the current average is 12.9 and the best score is a lone 17 (out of 22 tries since I posted this thread).

You can always try again, you should get around 2/3 new questions. Don't hesitate to propose some as well.

15/20. Irritated that I picked the wrong balkan.

I made 17/20. I consider it a relatively good score, since the quiz mainly focused on Europe

Anyway, it was a fun test Kinniken and I'm happy to see that there is a question related to my country.

18. Damn, I was really playing for 20. ;)
