How much do you know of the World Today? Try my quiz!

Largely thanks to you guys, I'm now over 100 questions. That means that if you tried only once, you should have very few repeated questions when trying again.

More importantly, I just added two new polls: one which only picks "easy" questions, and one which only chooses harder one. You know your level ;)

This also means that I will be accepting harder questions now, since I can remove them from the standard poll.

I got 15/20 on the hard test...the asian questions screwed me up ;)

Anyway, I'll submit more questions, now that harder ones are acceptable :nya:

Hard questions are accepted - as long as they are relevant, which is not so easy :p

I'll try my best(after the Brazil x Uruguay football match, of course ;) )

Good point!

I just added a history quiz - you can now submit questions in the "pure history" category, which will only appear there. Your question on Rio de Janeiro is perfect as a hard question in that category for exemple (I moved it there already).

I got 19/20 on the standard world today, 15/20 on hard world today, 15/20 on standard history test, 17/20 on hard history test (but that's not really fair because I knew some of the answers already from the standard test - really it would be 13/20)

The history quiz does not have enough questions currently to avoid that... Anyone want to provide more? :mischief:

No fair, Reagan was President during the 'first' Gulf war, between Iran and Iraq. I couldn't tell if it was a trick question or not.

Fair point - even if of 50 persons having answered this particular question, you were the first to answer Reagan :p
I changed the wording to: Who was president of the United States during the (first, US-led Coalition against Iraq) Gulf War? to clarify things.

I just wanted to rebel. ;)

BTW willemvanoranje, thanks for your questions - I added them all, but since your Amsterdam question was a rather precise geography question, I placed it in a "waiting" category called "Pure Geography" which is not used right now. I will use it if I launch a Geography quiz.
Your other questions are active.

That would be great :)
Calgacus has proved a great help with providing tough questions for the Historic quiz. If I get 20 "level 5" Historic questions, I will add an "Extra-hard" Historic Quiz.

XIII, if you want to keep your place as the most important external contributor, you may have to propose more - Calgacus is catching fast ;)

On which test, archer? There are now eight ;) ("World Today" and "World History", each with 4 difficulty level)

If you are speaking of the standard World Today quiz, that is indeed well done! :) I'm afraid most of my fellow students would be below ten :(
