I guess between $3.00-$5.00, but then I have a reputation as a good tipper to keep up.

Most of the guys who deliver to my place - pizza, or swiss chalet chicken, yum - are obviously immigrant guys in the 20-40 range busting their ass to pay for their families. Many delivery drivers are covering their own car costs as well.

So I generally tip $4-$5; even if they're just doing their jobs; that's how they pay the bills is with tips.

I live about 2 blocks away from my favorite pizzaria. So, if I order in (I usually pick it up) its a dollar. If I order from a far one, he'll get two, maybe three. And if my dog is extra mean (i.e. scares the living hell out of the guy) I'll probably add another dollar.

I give a buck, my wife gives more.

Nowadays there is a delivery fee, so I count that as part of the tip.

I usually give $2-$3 to the delivery guy (and something to drink - non-alcoholic). For waiters, I'll give around 20% for good service.

I wish there was pizza guy around here, it would make my life easier but I live in the middle of nowhere and I have to collect my food if I order out. Tipping isn't essential or expected around here but if I'm at a restaurent and the waitress is particulary nice to us the I'll throw on a five pound note. If the service is substandard the only tip there will be is on how to improve the service.

But if you tip every guy, you don't reward efficiency, you reward everybody whether efficient or not. As I said I only tip if the guy is doing more than just doing his job (he is already paid for that)
You aren't rewarded by single delivery, but by bulk. That is why speed is of the essence... if I can take 8 deliveries in an hour while my co-workers only get 4 or 5, it means I get those extra tips-per-deliveries and make a lot more money for my efficiency.

I give the guy or gal a 12 pack of Natural Light (real cheap beer) to work on for the rest of the night. It can get lonely driving around.
I always found it disturbing how often I was offered alcohol. I'm driving for God's sake!

I'm so cheap, I go fetch the pizza myself.

I have this tip for the delivery guy: "Get a better-paying job than a pizza delivery pleb."

I think tipping is humiliant, I dont tip and if I worked there I wouldnt accept it
as I said, it is humilliant

 Yeah, I got that, too. I would always have to tell the person "only if it is in an unopened can or bottle, so I can drink it after work". It's surprising how many people want you to join them in finishing off a keg. The most I ever got was 2-3 cans of beer in a night, never a 6-pack.

I have a tip: Get a better-paying job than a pizza delivery pleb.

If you work at the right place, it actually pays pretty darn good. But, I certainly wouldn't make a career out of it. One of the best jobs to work at part time while being a student, though.

Other country, others customs I guess. Here is perfectly normal.

I give non-monetary rewards as tips. Basically anything I can find lying about the house that isn't mine and I don't want to be mine. Strangely we can no longer get pizzas delievered to our house.
LOL!

its a good way to get rid of scary stuff you find at the back of the fridge i guess. and unwanted birthday presents.

Working on that, but as Bamspeedy said it is a real good job if you are paying your way through college. I average about $25,000/year, but you have to subtract all of the car matinence.

LOL! I get that crap all the time. There is a church we always deliver to and this nun will give us these religious trading cards. I don't get mad at her because I don't want to upset God.:)

The people who don't tip (in tipping cultures) really make me angry. I do expect a tip! If I get lost or your pizza is cold then you can stiff me. But I have to pay tons of cash just to keep my car running. I get oil changes once per month, tune ups usually 4 times a year, and tires at least twice a year. And thats not counting all of the nails, screws and other crap my car has the fantastic ability to run over.

Here's another tip: Don't drive angry.

And further: Don't be caught under the influence of Columbian marching powder if ye are a TV pizza delivery boy. :D

5 dollars. Extra if the conditions are bad or the directions are bad or the place is hard to find. I can't believe so many people don't tip!

I'm in the $2-3 range because I don't really make a whole lot of money. I have been known to tip $5 at times when I could afford to do so. I would never order a pizza to be delivered if I couldn't afford to leave a tip. I would just go and get it myself rather than be known as a cheap-o.

That's the old tip all right - same money; new destination. You know who don't get that no more. Desperate people. Thank goodness that's not my lot.

I don't eat pizza much... :) Usually, just go on down to a local joint, on the very rare occasions when I do eat them. Never take away...
