I'm somewhat surprised by the outcome of this poll. I'm also a very active member of the sim racing community (car racing games/simulators), and in that community the largest age-group is in fact the 31-35 group. I would have thought that civvers were older than sim racers on average, but apparently it's the other way around.

25.

Been Civ-ing since Civ1! 14 years!

I think we should find out the proper release date for Civ1 and throw a 15th Birthday Party! :D

We could get Sid in to say a few words!!! :lol:

Good to see such a varied age group in here, makes me sure there will be plenty more Civ's to come if there is such a steady and growing market for it!

All hail Civilization and King Sid! :king:

lol

28. and dont I feel old now after reading this thread

29, hooked on Sid's games since the original C64 Pirates! hit the store shelfes... what was that... about 15 years ago...

maybe i should consider sueing sid for all the lost productivity and homework

I did a search, and your reply is in a different "age" thread. ;) We try to keep only one of these threads *active* at any given time. That thread is now closed, so youwon't be getting any more replies to it. :)

I may see about getting this thread added to the front page list, like the old Civ3 age poll was....

Civ 1 was my first Sid M game,
My life has never been the same;
Through 2 & 3, sleep I did spurn,
Just to play one more turn;
Now, Civ 4 looks like heaven,
Even though I'm fifty-seven.

The "what decade were you born in" poll is a great thread that should be moved to the Civ 4 forums.

I´m 23, and started playing Civ I when I was about 13-14... can´t remember clearly... I only remember a Earth game, in which I was the Americans and the only remaining civ was the russians, and all was difined in a full scale war... And I won, of course ;)

Hehe, my generation, I'm 24 :D

32. Played civ1 a long time ago. I still have the original box, book and the 1.44MB floppies it came on. I have played all of the civs and even though they all have different warts, I have really enjoyed them all.

I hope to be cashing in my 44th B-day EB gift certificates I received last month from 4 beautiful women (wife and 3 daughters) for Civ4 tommorrow! Four is a very good number this year! :)
