How should we help the super rich?

1 million, maybe 2-5 million at the highest.

Well, the income tax only hurts poor and middle-class civilians. I suggest an income tax for people that make at least somewhere between 3 and 10 million (don't know the exact number).
Most poor and low income families pay little to no income tax at all. Many others get sizable refunds. What income level is the top end of the Middle Class for you?

idk. Sorry if i started a political argument.

90% of US households make less than ~$130,000 annually. If your household makes over $400,000 annually, you are in the top 1%.

Dad has retired (he's in his early 60s). I think then $300,000 could be a good place, definitely income tax at $400,000.

If only everyone could have all they want, need, and desire, than the world would be good.

Wait why is that the name of the thingy. I am going against the 1%, not for them.

This thread has been focusing on how to help the rich give up their money.

While everyone knows there's a stark divide between wants and needs, there is also a very big difference between not getting something and having something taken away. One mistake we've made is we've allowed the capital class to habituate to their wealth, which means that it's perceived as actual loss if we redress the systemic imbalance. I know your heart bleeds, but a loss is psychologically more painful than a forsaken gain.

This is why I think that cranking up the income tax on capital assets would be just more palatable than an actual wealth tax. Done correctly, it will have the same redressing effect, but also lead to less weirdness regarding the value of currency. The vast majority of paper wealth can't generate the dollars we think it can if it was taxed.

Of course they can't. It's accounting fairyland dreams.

I don't care how awesome Johnny Depp's 3rd mansion is. If you need tanks, for some unknown reason, and you need them fast, how many will it produce? Or carrots. Will it be better at growing carrots than a park?

Wait, maybe it will be able to hire people to grow carrots because god Currency. What are those persons doing now? Are they nurses? Are they working as house cleaners? Teachers' aides? Are they at home with the kids? Retired? Standing at Costco with love for all? Bet we got a lot of people still in bad taxi driver gigs. Now that's something you could tax.
