how to disable the religion lens?

Is it only me or the religion lens (and settler lens) obscures the map too much?

Whenever I mouse-click a missionary or a settler, the religion lens (or settler lens) is on automatically. The problem is the opacity of the lens is so strong that I can hardly see anything underneath the map, particularly the path or obstacles.

Is there a way to turn off this automatic lens?

Yeah, they are really annoying. I too wish to know how to turn them off.

Oh GAWD please yes! Make the religion lense not automatically come on when selecting a religious unit.

The settler lense is less of a nuisance because generally, you'll actually want to settle, when you pick a settler. But an easy toggle button would still be nice.
